"Chemical weapons" and gasmasks could just mean they plan to use tear gas and follow with an assault on the area. However, the actual use of nerve or blister agents isn't out of the question when you consider the recent actions and the players involved.

This is more lies and bullshit from the pro-al Qaeda opposition to get NATO to come fight their war for them. Just like the Libyan rebels said Gaddafi was massacring them and going to use chemical weapons as well. None of that happened.
Don’t trust these muslim dogs and make sure to fight any attempts for the US gov’t to put our boys in harms way fighting their insane tribal war for them!

Anyone who seriously believes that tear gas is what is being mulled is naive.
Assad and his clique are pure evil, and a blight on the earth.

Is this the same chemical weapons that Iraq didn't have?

The media considers WP and Tear Gas as chemical warfare anymore. I’d be surprised if they resorted to nerve gas or blister agents.
The mess is Syria isn’t our business, thank to our help to the “Arab Spring” most of the region is on fire as is.

They are the only people protecting Christians in the area. Don’t believe what the spin says. As of late, the US has been on the side of islam, and many from Iraq have fled to Syria.

The lesson of Libya: if you lose you die. Expect Assad to operate according to the viewpoint that unless he wins, he and his entire clan will die. It's likely that this will turn into a bloody Shiite/Sunni civil war.
Thanks, Barry.

Just who is behind this uprising? Is the Muslim Brotherhood a player or the American left pushing this thing, looking for results like got in Egypt and Libya?

“Assad and his clique are pure evil, and a blight on the earth.”
That, of course, makes them ideal for running a muslim country. I say leave them alone and let’s have the USA stay the hell out of it because what will replace Assad will be WORSE given what we’re seeing in every other Arab country that’s had a revolt lately.

This cesspool corner of the earth is not worth one more American life!! These camel jockeys have been killing each other for centuries and nothing we do will ever change that.
I say get every American out of the area—DO NOT SEND ANY TROOPS THERE!!!
Let them solve their own problems—if they attack us we turn the whole area into a parking lot.
It’s a tragedy that we have one of their muslim brothers in the white hut—God only knows what he will do.

I would not necessarily put my faith in Assad were I a Syrian Christian. He is a pure opportunist.
BTW Syrians by and large are not terribly religious.
This Muslim Brotherhood connection is waaay overplayed.
They do not want Wahabism any more than they want the current ongoing criminal conspiracy.

It’s SPRINGTIME in SYRIA!!!!
Yaaaayy!
Arab spring is a beautiful thing, and love is in the air.
The people will win, and they’ll love the US for their help, and the little Ben Franklins and Thomas Jeffersons will bust right out of their brainwashed little bodies.
I say build a wall around it and make sure whatever’s inside doesn’t leak out. In the end, whatever remains is still going to hate us.

Isn’t it funny how many soldiers came back saying “sure, We helped move them once we found them” and they are full of it, but people still just buy the BS?
I don’t doubt the word of those I spoke to.
I remember arguing with my then editor - who refused to do articles about it since “that’s just political crap”.

I share your sentiment, but Obama intends to get us in a war in either Iran or Syria or both. His administration is beating the drums for Syria, and he, England and France seem Hell-bent on taking out anything in Iran that could be used to make nukes. And Iran is trying to give them an excuse to go to war by threatening to close down shipping.
George W. Bush said his biggest regret was the war in Iraq. I guarantee that when Obama leaves office, he will not regret anything.
To: edpc
I’ll bet’cha that chemical weapons will have markings from Iraq, with a date code pre 2002!!!!
