“I heard the word around the beltway that this was all Axelrods doing. If so it sure blew up in his face.”

I now wonder if this is why Daley resigned. He was outspokenly against this move. BTW: I heard that Jarrett was the one that pushed it. Such infighting might explain these events.

repost:

Good to see the tip of the iceberg exposed, but in point of fact, OBAMACARE is unAmerican/unConstitutional, AND the Obama regime certainly takes great pride in the many ways it has found to circumvent the Constitution, our God-given rights, and the Law of the Land.

Many of us citizens woke up without the need of an alarm clock. Now the alarm clock is screaming-— Wake-up America. Don’t push snooze if Obama “appears” to cave on the contraception/abortifacient mandate. Fool me once...; fool me twice...fool most of the people all of the time?

Wake Up America!

POTUS Barack “The Dictator” Hussein “ Muslim Brotherhood Lover” Obama follows in the footsteps of 1930s Germany!!! Edicts, regulations, contols, statism, absolute federal rule, no Freedom, no Liberty, no choice, no opportunity, no equality!!!! That’s Obama and his “destroy America” ilk!!!

How’s them gasoline prices doing for you folks!!!! My forecast if Obama wins re-election. The “Night of the Long Knives” is not far behind. Obama and his wife, Michelle are capable of using “any” means to wipe out the Republic and create a dictatorship. As far as religion goes Obama and his wife have no religion. They believe they are Gods, and...we the people are their plaything peons!!! Wake up, America. You are asleep at the wheel!!!

From Reuters (before the announcement):

Instead, the new approach puts the burden on insurance companies, ordering them to provide workers at religious-affiliated institutions with free family planning if they request it, without involving their employer at all, the White House said.

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/10/us-usa-contraceptives-idUSTRE8181MX20120210

HOW is this any better? So he is going to force insurance plans, purchased by Catholic-affiliated organizations, to provide for day after pills etc. HOW is this better?

If the Catholic college provides health insurance to its employees, won't the required contraceptive coverage be included in the insurance? Yes, according to obamma, it is required. Exactly the same thing, exactly.

Hopefully this will informed the Supreme Court justices showing to them how far reaching this fiasco healthcare bill really is, and they will strike it down!

Exactly.

Rush is mentioning the “Hawaii Rules”
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/17/health/policy/17hawaii.html?pagewanted=all

This is a cost-sharing emphasis, and as such, is Shar’ia compliant ‘takaful.’

“Definition of ‘Takaful’
A type of Islamic insurance, where members contribute money into a pooling system in order to guarantee each other against loss or damage. Takaful-branded insurance is based on Sharia, Islamic religious law, and explains how it is the responsibility of individuals to cooperate and protect each other.

Investopedia explains ‘Takaful’
Takaful insurance companies were introduced as an alternative to commercial insurance companies, which go against the riba (interest), al-maisir (gambling), and al-gharar (uncertainty) principles, that are outlawed in Sharia.”

Well I listened to Obama speak and frankly he's once again lying in that woman have “free” contraceptives etc. already at many clinics which offer them....so that statement was a lie.

Bottom line is we still will be paying for contraceptives etc.

It's disgusting to hear obama say woman shouldn't have to give up food or groceries to buy contraceptives....that's just more lies.....as said any woman can go to clinics for contraceptives. So he's still dictating to Insurance companies what they have to provide “freee-eee” for “preventive services”. No way will it be free, all Premiums will go up beyond what most can afford...It's still a redistribution of dollars out of those who pay premiums so those without have “free” care costs.

What he is saying since the church isn't DIRECTLY paying for this the church is off the hook, even though the church is FORCED BY MANDATE to purchase insurance which gives this away (by raising premiums on the church - thereby INDIRECTLY paying for it)!

If you stand idly by while someone is being killed when you had the means and the ability to stop or curtail the slaughter, then you are not MORALLY absolved of the deed! Does this idiot think WE are this stupid?

Obama is clearly employing the tact of 戦略的撤退 (strategic, temporary retreat).

You have nailed his strategy.

2,700 pages to 0bamacare that was passed within hours so we could begin to find out what it all means.

The Catholic Bishops have begged the state religion of the United States, The Church of Socialism, for the privilege of continuing with their core beliefs.

0bama makes one strategic, temporary retreat, but there are 2,699 pages remaining that can be used at anytime to control the serfs.

And officials said Obama has the legal authority to order insurance companies to provide free contraception coverage directly to workers. He will demand it in a new rule.

The bottom line is that the Catholic Hospital’s coverage still includes contraception, and it appears that they are simply hiding the costs.

They are playing with words.

They have given the Catholic Church a “semantic” way out and not an actual end of the violation of the first amendment.

WOW, can anything be crazier than a governmenmt that just orders private industry to give out something free, to a select group, to accomodate the president politically?

The WHOLE problem with this is the government telling everyone what must be in their policies. I would love a policy in which I can pass on all kinds of stuff to get a lower premium.

Health insurance was meant for cancer, heart attacks, etc. Oy.

the attack on values the directly conflict with the democrat party is not new. They see organizations like churches as a direct threat to their authority on all things, from your body to your spirit. The Holy Catholic Church is just the first salvo. There will be more of this to look forward to if we decide that “Santorum is too inexperienced”, “Newt is too flawed” and “Mitt is too liberal” to go out and vote in November.

The price of sitting this one out is too high.

The most evil argument of the libs is that female contraception protects female “health”.

When in fact unprotected female sex (no male condom) is a huge STD risk, STD’s are related to cancers, etc. AND the pill is known to endanger women with cancer, strokes, etc.

They care nothing for womens’ health. It’s just part of their “vision” that every woman be free to screw like a slut without family so as to destroy society.

Meanwhile, any action to prevent women from piling up government benefits by deliberately having multiple unwed pregnancies?

The liberals are very very sick people.

Accommodation?

Try edict.

Wonder if anyone in the White Hut happened to contemplate 1) self-insured groups or 2) fees paid by religious institutions to insurance companies will now pay for the extra work the insurance companies must do w/ respect to abortions and birth control.

Surely they have the spin ready for these objections, too.

They need to get the “social justice” loving priests and bishops back on their side. If this does it then we know that this whole kerfluffle was only a show, and not based on any true religious beliefs or standards.

Once again the whole problem is Barack Obama or his liberal clones, deciding what every policy in America must have and what everyone must buy.

Zero competition. Zero common sense. And mark my words when they decide birth control wrappers harm the environment or whatever the heck is next, they will ban coverage for this,

Or more likely they will ban the “too expensive” life saving procedures that are “denying poor women contraceptives”.

I can agree with your analogy, except, I am speaking from the churches perspective on the moral issue - not the legal issue. This "accommodation" does not change the fact that their money is going to kill unborn babies and it undermines their religious moral values and religious beliefs and more importantly it stands STARK NAKED in the way of "...the free exercise thereof...!"

That is true.

The other thing that is extremely unnerving about this is that the government is essentially setting up a government-funded, involuntary population control plan. They will run it through Planned Parenthood, and not directly (at least at the beginning), but essentially we are seeing the start of a government administered population control plan that everyone must participate in through mandatory “insurance.”

Mark my words! If this is allowed to stand and Obama gets reelected, doctors will be FORCED via MANDATE to strongly recommend, attempt to convince, automatically prescribe - PRACTICALLY FORCE - every woman onto some sort of birth control; after all, it is free and available, so it would be in your best interest to use it!

Obamacare is about CONTROL; NOTHING ELSE! And Democrats and all their environmental nuts think of HUMANS as the blight and scourge on this planet!

Islamic Insurance
http://www.albaraka.com/media/pdf/Research-Studies/Book-Islamic-Insurance.pdf

This is shared cooperative insurance, or ‘takaful.’

I hope someone is reading up on this. Taking the argument away from faith and putting it into insurance companies’ hands emphasizes the Shari’a compliant, financial nature of 0bama Deathcare.

This isn’t about faith or Catholocism or ‘Women’s rights’ (abortion is almost always prohibited in Islam). This is about pushing Americans into Shari’a compliance period. Submit! AKA Islam

LOL.

No. It’s a principle/concept in islam, due to having insurance per se as being prohibited. Shared, cooperative insurance (sound familiar?) to minimize risk.

Also see prohibitions for most abortions, all vasectomies, almost all hysterectomies and birth control.
