..and Newt endorsed Scozzafava and praised Rudy.. and Paul endorsed Cynthia McKinney and Ralph Nader... and Romney endorsed so many liberals and RINOs I’ve lost track...

I could care less. This resulted in having Alito and Roberts on to the court. We would NOT have had him had Santorum not sacrifice himself and endorse Arlen. See what you guys don’t understand no matter how many times it has been explained to you is that had Arlen not gotten reelected, the Democrats were up for Judiciary Committee Chair (they switch back and forth) and we NEVER would have gotten Alito for sure. Roberts would be doubtful. So you can cry and moan but this was one of a MILLION great decisions that Santorum made. President Santorum will be fantastic in January 2013. Get used to it. You all can complain but it is happening right before your very eyes.

Your Post is correct.

I am not sure Rick saw far enough ahead to know about Spectre and Obamacare, but he sure stepped in it when he endorsed Spectre.

I will stick with Newt for a while..

Santorum is toast in the Right to Work South. Newt has already and will his pro union votes. I think it in his Pennsylvania DNA.

TOOMEY????? Why are we praising a guy who is advancing the homosexual agenda? We here at Free Republic are not for endorsing gay agenda AT ALL. Had Toomey been elected in 2006, He would have demanded Gays in the military (maybe) like he embraced gays in the military recently. He voted for Gays in the military!!!! How is that conservative? Every time I ask this I am NEVER answered.

Arlen Specter is also the single greatest factor in exposing Anita Hill’s lies and pushing Thomas’ nomination through.

Ronney’s people are really starting to tick me off with their internecine warfare. BFD, he endorsed Specter. He was the 3rd ranking Senator in the Senate at the time. Wasn’t Romney an independent at one point. Didn’t Romney give money to Democratic campaigns? Didn’t Romney get the socialized medicine thing going in this country when he was governor?

No one could have foreseen Specter to be Benedict Arnold at that time. Hell, George Washington didn’t even foresee Benedict Arnold being a traitor. Is Romney gonna bash George Washington now?

What was Newt's excuse with Dede?

Gingrich admitted he made a mistake by endorsing her on Hannity's radio show.

Yes because that 10th Amendment thingee is just a pain. Why don’t you see why he supported it before running your mouth.

Badmouthing Santorum doesn’t help Newt. It just puts people’s backs up.

A bad endorsement is small time compared to Newt and Mitt’s baggage. I prefer Newt at the top of the ticket, but I would crawl over broken glass to vote for Santorum in the general or against Mitt if Newt dropped out. I guess it is moot since Santorum and Gingrich will not be on my ballot.

Toomey has supported several legislative actions designed to block the expansion of certain civil rights to homosexuals, or to revoke existing rights; specifically, he voted to amend the U.S. Constitution to ban same-sex marriage;[27] to ban gay adoptions in the District of Columbia; and for the Marriage Protection Act of 2004, a bill that would amend the federal judicial code to deny federal courts jurisdiction to hear or decide any question pertaining to the interpretation of the Defense of Marriage Act or of the Marriage Protection Act itself
Toomey is against same sex marriage

It sure does open up old wounds. I just couldn't believe that he campaigned against Toomey. Toomey had a good chance to get rid of moderate/liberal Arlene. Those were bad political days back then. it looks like Rick keeps missing the due (like he did as Newt got the brunt of negative ads while he made himself look above it-while never coming to Newt's defense)

>> is Santorums excuse for backing Romney? what is Santorums >>>excuse for voting for Sonia Sotomyer for the circuit court under Clinton? that is 3 strikes on Santorum.

It shows alot about his judgment.

This is hardly a fair argument. Who would have guessed Arlen would switch leagues? And, btw, Arlen did vote for the confirmations of Roberts and Alito and was partly responsible for getting their names in front of the Senate. Those two will assuredly help rectify the other damage. And these two are definite improvements on Kennedy, O’Connor and Suiter!
