Does anyone else get the impression that the Obama Admin and the Dems are trying (and failing) to play the “triangulation” game here?

The Administration, through HHS, puts forward an extremist and blatantly unacceptable policy. Conservatives go after it, and it starts gaining press. The Presidents “allies” (such as Pelosi) dig in and start launching rhetorical bombs from the other side.

Then the President comes forward with a reasonably-sounding “compromise” in an attempt to place himself into the middle/moderate ground between the “extremist” (note I put that in quotes) Conservatives ... and the true extremists (the Liberals in his own party)?

The Delphi Technique and consensus building are both founded in the same principle - the Hegelian dialectic of thesis, antithesis, and synthesis, with synthesis becoming the new thesis.
