Smith Offers $1 Million Prize for Successful E-Cat Demo

As Mr Millin and I do not seem to be getting anywhere on this issue, I have determined a way that we could possibly break this nexus, i.e. I would like to offer you USD1,000,000 for a successful repeat of the March 29, 2011 demonstration.

Sounds like reasonable test conditions. I wonder what excuse Rossi will use to avoid it?

That “reactor” will produce excess energy right after the UN “Climate Change” models actually produce something that does not resemble the output of a public school grad.

Is there a contract on intrade about whether he (Rossi) accepts or declines the million dollar demonstration offer? (My money would be on “decline.”)

That would be a good question for Kevmo, since he claims to have made money off of Rossi on intrude.

You will have to ask Kevmo himself, since he posts his standard, childish "I'm not talking to you" post any time I include his name in the "To:" list.

Since Rossi has steadfastly refused to allow any test that would actually prove that his gadget works, I think it's safe to assume that it doesn't work. But it may be interesting to see what insults he uses to avoid this challenge.

It is amazing to me the amount of time, energy and money that has been wasted on this.

Either Rossi’s machine works or it doesn’t. Based on what I’ve read so far, I’m betting it doesn’t. I invite him to prove me wrong with a fully documented, peer attended, online streamed, repeatable demonstration. Until then, I think he’s full of BS.

Isn’t there a “science fiction” category for this stuff?

I’m confused... was the 3/29 test the one where a massive generator was “inadvertently” left connected during the test, the one where simmering water was accounted using the energy value of hot steam, or the one where we’re still waiting for detailed analysis of the copper which was produced for one trial and seems to not be an issue anymore?

I'm sure Master Rossi will find that he is too busy with the robotic factories and all the new inventions he producing to bother with such trifles as a million U.S.

After all there is the need to actually deliver a first unit of any kind yet and the figuring out how it might work if it did work.

Heh, heh!

HERE is a nice summary of that demo (along with all the other ones). Judge for yourself.

FYI, the "detailed isotopic analysis" that Sven Kullander promised before Christmas, is still missing. There is a rumor that it has been leaked, and that it's very bad news for Rossi's believers, but that's only a rumor at this point.

And, according to THIS link on the Vortex mailing list, Rossi rejects the offer:

Dick Smith Offer
Dear Andrea,
Australian millionaire Dick Smith has written an open letter to you offering more than $1,000,000 unconditionally if you can successfully repeat March 29 demo. This is easy money and you have till 20 Feb to accept. Kullander and Essen can be validators. This will provide you with easy and much needed funding. What good reason is there to decline this offer?
Yours Faithfully,
Archibald Fields

Dear Archibald Fields:
This is a Clownerie. If this guy wants to test a 1 MW plant and has 1 million to’ spend he can buy a 1 MW plant, with a refilar contract, that gives him all the necessary guarantee. Our plants Are tester by Our Customers and the Consultants they chiose. I have not time at all for this clownery.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

So, whoever had "Too busy" and "Don't need the money" in the pool wins!

How did you get so lucky? The last time Kevmo and I posted in the same thread, he was still challenging me.

Anyway, I'm betting Mr. Smith's money is safe. Rossi has yet to give a convincing demo.

Rossi suggests that Smith just buy an E-Cat with his million dollars. There is also the University of Missouri, which has just received a $5 million grant to do LENR research.

I hope one or both go ahead and try to just buy one from Rossi. It will be very interesting to find out what excuse Rossi gives when he refuses to actually sell them one.

It's worth remembering that Rossi claimed in mid-November that he would be shipping the first Megawatt E-Cats in 3 months. That's now. So, we should be seeing the first E-Cats hitting the street any day now.

Of course, I understand that things don't always go according to plan, but it's fascinating that there has been absolutely no progress visible. No evidence of a customer, no evidence of a 2nd device, no evidence that the first device has been used since the October 28th dog & phony show, no evidence of a factory actually being built.

Also, still no sign of the "detailed isotopic analysis" that Sven Kullander promised would be available in time for Christmas.
