The guy had a bench warrant for his arrest. Don’t talk to me of “liberty,” if you do not understand the concept.

I really can't say much more, other than people should read the darn article. We can talk about ever-encroaching government . . . the problem is, that in this case, it makes us look like idiots. So there.

Clearly you need to learn that “liberty” doesn’t come from the government.

Clearly you need to learn what happens to your “liberty” when you miss a darn court appearance.

There are more and more people on FR who are not worth the time to reply to.

Eventually they’ll start charging fees for dialing 911.
In most parts of the country they already do. If you look at your bill it’s likely to contain an assessment for E911.

It is never a matter of if you resist tyranny, it is a matter of picking the winnable battles and avoiding the full weight of your enemy. Fighting the original ticket in court is probably futile, but a reasonable battle. Declaring yourself to be above the system threatens the very core of government.
Anarchy is not a smart move when the majority still accepts that we need a government, even if it needs vast changes. The winds may well change, but I don’t see this dude being the martyr to change them.

Still trying to get you to understand the broader concept of ‘liberty’ as something that doesn’t come from the government.

"Broader" is good. I love blackboard theory. I also understand what it means to have a bench warrant for your arrest.

I’ll agree that you probably do understand what it means to have a bench warrant for your arrest.
The conversation was about liberty not being granted by the government.
