MONTGOMERY, Ala.—Hundreds packed the Alabama Statehouse courtyard on Tuesday to rally against the state's tough immigration law, with organizers saying they chose to send a message on Valentine's Day that lawmakers need to love and respect immigrants. People bused in from across the state to demand repeal of the law that aims to be tough on those in the country illegally. Protesters carried signs reading, "Gov. Bentley, don't you have a heart?" "No Juan Crow" and "Una Familia, Una Alabama" while chanting in Spanish and English "no more HB56" (the bill that became the law) and "one family, one Alabama." They also delivered lollipops and Valentines to lawmakers, urging them to strike down the law.

The law must really be working if they could only rally hundreds. A couple of years ago tens of thousands of illegals flooded the streets of Dallas in protest of something or other.

I agree with you, they have set a very good example, we need to show love and compassion as we deport their illegal a$$ back to wherever they come from. But we should give them lollipops and heart candies asa a going away present!

Exactly. It is against the law for illegal aliens to work and it is illegal to hire them.

We didn't agree to giving your free stuff and having you force hospitals to shut down their emergency rooms.

Actually, we had another drug bust in Gwinnett County Georgia and rounded up an additional 50% of the Alabama population - temporarily in transit.....

Was La Migra there doing immigration checks? They could have arrested the majority of them and sent them packing.

Oh, wait a minute. The State and Feds are more concerned about the 5 year old, law-abiding Whitey McCracker-Honkey’s school lunch than actually enforcing the border laws.

Eleven men arrested in 2007 immigration raid in New Haven have reached an unprecedented settlement with the federal government paying them $350,000 and effectively ending any immigration proceedings against them.On the morning of June 6, 2007, agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), along with other federal, state and local authorities, raided several New Haven homes, arresting nearly 30 people in a roundup of suspected illegal immigrants.

The officers raided homes without warrants or consent from the people living in them, according to the legal team representing the plaintiffs.

Critics claimed the raids were conducted in retaliation to the decision by New Haven Mayor John DeStefano to implement the Elm City Resident Card program. The program offered identification cards to all New Haven residents, regardless to their immigration status.

When they aren’t “living in the shadows” they keep busy making demands, chanting in Spanish and English, delivering lollipops to legislators and marching back and forth in front of the state capitol carrying signs.
Then they go back to the shadows and under the heel of the brutal Gringo who balks at medicating, educating, feeding & housing Alvarez, his family, shirt-tail relatives and as many friends as he can cram into the closets, attics and crawlspaces of his Section VIII housing.

“We didn’t agree to this treatment,” Alvarez said.

That is a hilarious statement. Like a criminal who is offended because “he didn’t agree” with his being arrested.

I call BS. I have been a bookkeeper all my life.

I once worked at a company that had a great number of Mexicans doing agricultural labor.

I was the payroll supervisor for weekly paychecks for about 750 persons.

I processed many a W-4 to put it into the system. I was VERY careful about the number of ‘dependants’ listed by any employee who was a new hire, & then I started to review all the papers of those already hired.

A perfect example: A new hire-—18 yr old male— shown as married with 9 (NINE) dependants. I called the foreman of the location in question. I asked him if this new hire was going to be living in ranch housing or off the ranch. He told me ranch housing. Since the ranch housing was ONLY for single persons, I asked him where the 9 DEPENDANTS were going to be living...OOOOOOPPPS!!!

He said “What 9 dependants?” I then asked him if HE had reviewed the papers he had sent me. He said yes, but I told him “If you had done so, you would know what I am talking about”.

I then got alot of mish-mash about ‘dependants in Mexico’, etc.
I proceeded to tell this foreman that it is against Federal law to claim any dependants that are out of the country- PERIOD. He disagreed. I faxed him the details from the Federal employment guidelines at that time to show him I wasn’t wrong. Really pissed him off, but I was correct to protect the company.

I then proceeded to tell him that this person was going into the system as SINGLE—1 dependant & he was going to actually pay some income taxes beyond the SS & medicare requirements.

ANY person making minimum wages and claiming more than 5 dependants are not going to pay ANY FEDERAL or STATE income tases....EVER. IF they do file a tax return-—they then get EARNED INCOME CREDIT!!! Isn’t that special!!! Pay them more money than they would ever have paid in & they are often ILLEGAL with phony papers. Some of the phony papers are really top notch & hard to tell them as phony.

Mexicans coming across our borders looking for work have false papers—they use a number of names, switching the mother’s maiden name back & forth with the father’s name, etc. Juan Ricardo Gonzales Puente becomes Ricardo Juan Gonzales Puente or becomes Juan Ricardo Puente Gonzales, etc. They are trained south of the border to do such subtrafuge.

I gradually went thru ALL the employees on the payroll & I cleaned up lots of crap. Suddenly, there were actual INCOME taxes being deducted!!!

I also demanded actual photos of whatever documents were presented to back up the requirements of the I-9 forms, which were required by the Feds. I sure pissed off alot of ranch foremen, but I didn’t care. I was sick & tired of all the games being played.

That all occurred in 1976-1977.

This problem is an old problem & it will not get better under a Democrat or a RINO.

We will never get AMERICAN unemployment back to a stable number as long as we are overrun with the illegals.

As for ‘contributions to the community’:

All I ever saw in So Calif was a higher number of gang problems & LOTS more Graffitti. It was disgusting. In no way do I call such actions ‘contributions to the community’.
