And fewer people looking for work, having given up, means lower unemployment; i.e., a “recovery.”

I would endure gas at $10/gallon if it means for certain that Osama is run out of office by outraged people. The FUBAR economy is his now, like a millstone around his scrawny neck. Our mantra in 2012 must be, “It’s the economy, stupid!”

This is all sounding very familiar to me:

The German economy was especially vulnerable since it was built upon foreign capital, mostly loans from America and was very dependent on foreign trade. When those loans suddenly came due and when the world market for German exports dried up, the well oiled German industrial machine quickly ground to a halt.

As production levels fell, German workers were laid off. Along with this, banks failed throughout Germany. Savings accounts, the result of years of hard work, were instantly wiped out. Inflation soon followed making it hard for families to purchase expensive necessities with devalued money.

Overnight, the middle class standard of living so many German families enjoyed was ruined by events outside of Germany, beyond their control. The Great Depression began and they were cast into poverty and deep misery and began looking for a solution, any solution.

Adolf Hitler knew his opportunity had arrived.

Obama attributed the growing price of oil to a strengthening economy which in turn means demand for oil increases.

Decreases in supply also lead to rising prices. Iran has been threatening to cut supplies for weeks and actually did today. That is probably the main reason for the price increase.

Obama attributed the growing price of oil to a strengthening economy which in turn means demand for oil increases.

Aside from the (inconveeeeenient) fact that actual demand for gasoline is DOWN...

...I'd like to hear why it is that rising gas/oil prices under a Republican President are BOTH bad and the fault of the "EVIL" oil companies and speculators, whereas under a Dumb Dim Democrat President they are cause for celebration? Silly me, I didn't feel much like celebrating yesterday morning after dumping $48 in the tank for a week's worth of driving.

And where's the f'ing Lamestream Media on this utterly cynical, utterly false assertion? Don't answer, we know that they are busy Lewinskying Barack.

RE “And when gas prices are on the rise again because as the economy strengthens, global demand for oil increases. And if we start seeing significant increases in gas prices, losing that $40 could not come at a worse time,” Obama said.

What he really means is : “ And if we start seeing significant increases in gas prices, my re-election could not come at a worse time,

On the Maryland front our liberal middle class robbing Governor O Malley is now trying to ram through a 35 cents gasoline tax increase after raising general sales taxes in 2008, and alcohol tax last year.

Just the rich will pay?? fat chance!
