If past debates are any indication, Newt will be given about enough time to say, “Hi” and answer a small number of yes/no questions. They will spend most of the time building up Romney, and trying to catch the top dog in the polls, Santorum, in a gotcha moment.

Do you happen to know the dates of those debates? It would be good info for a lot of people.

FOX NEWS POLL observes:

Gingrich lags farthest behind Obama, as voters in these key states prefer the president to the former Speaker by 20 points. In the most recent Fox News national poll — released Friday — registered voters give Obama a 13-point edge over Gingrich.

I am a Santorum supporter, but I am sorry this entire story is complete and utter bull hockey. Seriously what was Newt going to say? I am going to lose Ohio? Nobody says they are going to lose a state (unless they are not campaigning in that state). I can’t believe this story. Why not make it a regular poll story and just release the stats at this time. This is what Newt says in that story below: A real chance suddenly means wins.....UGH!!!! Yep I can sniff a BS story too regardless of who I support.

“We’re having a great time in Ohio and I think I have a real chance of winning Ohio,” Gingrich said February 7th on CNN.

They sure helped Newt until we hit the debate drought.
They sure helped Herman Cain.

In fact, back then everybody said it was ALL about the debates.
Rick Perry was kicked to the curb despite his RECORD.

I really like how Romney is in second place even with 2 competing against him.

Now Naps, this article offers a positive spin for Newt- which is unusual-—as you know, the MSM doesn’t like him very much because he ended the Dems 40 yr control of the House—and they’ll never forgive him.

Now, come on, you begrudge him one measly, insignificant positive story? -:)

50% is HUGE.

As I'd said before on Santorum... mile wide, inch deep like other surges.

The fact we have to face is there's not much solid enthusiasm for any candidate.

Participation in GOP primaries and caucuses is down compared to 2008. That portends trouble in the fall of a GOP enthusiasm gap.

“The fact we have to face is there’s not much solid enthusiasm for any candidate. “

Actually we do, where ever Newt has won there has been a record surge in voters going to the polls.

It’s the other candidates that don’t seem to have enthusiastic supporters.

No offense, but that’s the worst spin I’ve ever heard. Kind of like saying “Both times the Colts won, the fans were really enthusiastic.”

And I’m speaking as a Gingrich voter.
