It’s been proven 100 times over that Newt is more conservative than Santorum.
Newt has become more liberal the older he has gotten. He has proved over the past years that he is not a guy people can trust. I think people now believe he will say anything to get elected.
If people wanted Newt, he would be on top. Instead he polls behind Ron Paul. I guess people at least think Paul is consistent.

Newt’s the guy who called Ryan’s plan right wing engineering. Santorum supports the Ryan plan.
Newt’s the guy who attacked those who were against ethanol subsidies. He even called for a government mandate that every car must be able to run on ethanol.
