Logic n' Reason wants five reasons why same sex marriage is not a good idea that do not refer to religion. Here are five to start with; there are many more.
1. It is against the Laws of nature, since sodomy is against the laws of nature.
2. It is cultural suicide to glorify, legalize and protect unnatural and perverted behavior.
3. Children raised by mentally ill sex perverts have a horrible time in life, this is clearly been documented.
4. Children in the foster or otherwise care of mentally ill sex perverts are much more often sexually molested, as homosexuals have a very high rate of pedophilia, Hebephilia - molesting 11–14 year olds, and Ephebophilia - teenagers above 14.
5. Schools in states where "gay marriage" is somehow become legal, teach children that "gay is good" and books like Heather Has Two Mommies and Daddy's Roomate are read to children, and that's just for starters. I have more, plenty more.
MARRIAGE is a legal framework comprised of a variety of rights, but also alot of PROTECTIONS. These protections are required because of the DIFFERENCES between men and women and also because a mail-female pair can produce children. For example, a man must be protected from being required to support children he did not father, and a woman must be protected from being traded in for a newer model at a time when her attractiveness (physical, and ability to bear children) is waning and his attractiveness (income potential) is increasing. Children produced by the relationship also must be provided for if the couple splits up. None of this applies to a same-sex couple (with the possible exception of adopted children). The kind of things that Gays claim to want are available with the appropriate already-existing legal instruments (power of attorney, “next of kin” status, etc) or could be combined into a properly crafted “civil union” framework. But even that is kinda “iffy” since not all same-sex relationships necessarily expect the same things of each other. Either way, the MARRIAGE legal framework does not apply to a same-sex relationship and our legal system should not be cluttered up with it as regards break-ups of same-sex couples.
No, the CDC stats added up still have "men who have sex with men" as the direct or indirect cause of more than 80 to 85% of all new AIDS cases. So, that is a lie of yours. An interesting lie, though; since homosexual activists used to shout "AIDS is not a gay disease" over and over, and it turns out, it is vastly a fag disease. Second, practically no "marriages" of homosexuals are monogamous, also backed up by stats.

Civil unions was the conscious method by homosexual activists to lead to “gay” marriage. As soon as they get “civil unions” they raise the cry of “It’s not REAL Marriage whine whine!”
“We” will only lose the battle if “we” give up. I am not giving up, nor will I ever. We wound up with what we have now because of moral cowardice. Time to change that.
Maybe you misunderstood me. By conceding "civil unions" you virtually ensure that homosexual "marriage" is a reality not too far down the road. Draw a line, and the barbarians will draw their battle front all the way up to it, to lob bombs over it.
If we don't draw the line at the inception of this attack, we have as good as lost. Look at Vermont and Washington as examples.
Many states wisely understood this threat even BEFORE the first state, Massachusetts, even counterfeited marriage, and enacted in their constitutions not only the established definition of marriage, but also preclusions to counterfeits. This was the only sane course of action, knowing what the barbarians were capable of.

Do you realize that prior to a few years ago, throughout history, ALL CULTURES had one common element to marriage and that is that a marriage contained EXACTLY ONE MAN? Some polygamous cultures have had one man and two or more women, but there is ALWAYS one man, never more than one and never no men.

He almost got it passed last year and he's been working on the Dem opponents ever since. Not much hope in this state.
However his college Dream Act passed last year goes up for a referendum in November after a petition drive. That shows more hope.
If each person did whatever he could do, things would improve. I help run the homosexual agenda ping list, give information to people, talk to people in my actual life, and so on. I have no money to donate to good causes, or I would do that as well.
