Fox and Friends did an interview with Col.(Ret)McSally. She's running for Gabby's seat in Arizona CD8 and she just blew herself out of the water.

Nothing wrong with being critical, but the point is that she did herself no favors by criticizing in such a childish way to a national audience. People concentrate on that part of the message and all else gets ignored. Rookie mistake.

The interviewer bent over backwards to fawn over this lady - including calling her the "first woman fighter pilot in combat". Umm no; A-10s are glorious ground attack weapons and tank-killer without parallel but they aren't "fighters" (that's why their designator starts with "A" instead of "F"). A dogfight with anything except maybe a Piper J3 would be a losing proposition.

I have no doubt that Col McSally was a dandy Air Force officer but fighter pilot?

oh noes....she’s not a real fighter pilot. So when was the last time a fighter pilot was engaged in a real dogfight. And please don’t say the last time you watched “Top Gun”. She probably pulled the trigger “for real” more than most “fighter” pilots.

The head bob and eye-lashes were disconcerting, as was the “jimmy” comment, but otherwise, I’ve seen a lot worse. Appearing on TV is not a natural act, so it has to be learned, and I think she can do OK with some practice.
