The key thing Sarah Palin said is “Newt’s way of explaining his position” is the best, and it is. This is what the Santorum supporters can’t seem to understand. This is very important. Santorum is passionate about what he believes (which is a lot about big government, but that’s another subject) - but no body, including Santorum, can come close to being able to simply launch into a conversation about any belief the way Newt can.
It’s an incredible talent, and as a society we always give certain passes for those with exceptional talent - because damnit - exceptional talent does matter. Newt has exceptional talent. Santorum has 7 kids. Who I might choose for my neighborhood watch commander is not who I might choose as President.
Newt Gingrich gave Einstein lessons before he was born. (let’s start a Chuck Norris thing).
Anyone even remotely paying attention has some kind of a "They're ALL crooks" thought niggling around their brain, and Newt, on an extremely national stage told the world where to get off.
THAT is Newt's power.
