MSNBC's Krystal Ball: Virginia Abortion Law Is "Rape"
MSNBC via RCP ^ | Feb 21, 2012 | Krystal Ball

Posted on 02/22/2012 12:34:01 PM PST by Barney Gumble

MSNBC's expert on abortion Krystal Ball: "So, Virginia is my home state and I actually ran for Congress there in 2010. So this hits very close to home for me also being a woman. What they are saying in Virginia is not only do women have to undergo an ultrasound, they have to undergo a trans-vaginal ultrasound. Mandatory state probing, okay. That's what this legislation is talking about." "It actually meets the Virginia definition of rape. So, the bigger picture here is this is a bigger piece of a whole range of anti-woman extreme legislation that was pushed through the Virginia legislator and really the legislators across the country." "It just took that sort of trans-vaginal state rape kind of language to really get national attention, but we've got to push back against the law."

It’s hard to take anything she says seriously with a name like “Krystal Ball”.

Well, in fairness, it's the only thing in the article that's not her fault. :-)

I had a HS biology teacher named "Barr". He and his wife were having a baby girl, so one day he threw the question open to the class for suggestions... It was a riot. There was Sandy. Candy (of course). Chocolate. Grilland (one of my favorites). Open. Sushi. Kay (also very good). And many others. But the winner with a nearly unanimous vote: Crow.

:-)

Krystal Ball’s Image Problem: Racy Photos of Virginia Candidate

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/krystal-balls-image-problem-racy-photos-virginia-congressional/story?id=11835899#.T0Vd5x1GhzB

Krystal Ball, a Democrat running for Congress in Virginia, has accused conservative political operatives of a sexist smear campaign, leaking racy photographs of her taken at a holiday costume party.

Ball, 28, a first-time candidate, said the images were taken six years ago, soon after she graduated from college. The images, which depict Ball in a short skirt and Santa Claus hat posing with her husband, an unidentified woman and a sex toy, were first posted on the conservative blog Virginia Virtucon. The photos have since gone viral, spreading all over the Internet and making Ball one of the most searched terms on Google.

Virginia Virtucon has since removed the photos from its website.

Ball accused her Republican opponent, Rep. Rob Wittman, the incumbent, of being behind the pictures’ publication. Wittman has denied any involvement and called from the pictures to be taken off websites.

Running as “a fresh face for Virginia,” Ball had previously received little national attention, running in a district that traditionally swings Republican.

If the abortee in question objects to a transvaginal ultrasound prior to an abortion perhaps she should avoid the more fundamental vaginal insertion in the first place; or at least see to it that it is properly wrapped.

You don’t have to get either a rape examination or this pre-abortive ultrasound.

If you elect not to get the ultrasound, you just don’t get the abortion.

How’s that for “pro-choice”?

Of course, the left doesn’t view a choice that has consequences as a real “choice”.

In the lexicon of the Left there's "rape" and then there's "rape rape", and then this ~ "rape rape rape" with a sonogram.

These people are nuts.

So inserting an ultrasound probe into the vagina is “state-sponsored rape,” but inserting a vacuum-assisted suction device into the vagina is not? That’s a ridiculous argument!

As a part-time resident of the Commonwealth, I must say that Krystal Ball (yes, that’s her real name) is one of the biggest embarrassments that Virginia has foisted on the political scene—and don’t forget, we have voters who keep sending Jim Moran back to Congress.

Ms. Ball ran one of the most inept Congressional campaigns I’ve ever seen. Her “advertising” (until the final weeks of the race against Rob Wittman) consisted of one billboard in a remote part of the district. Then, in a desperate attempt to gain attention, she leaked photos of herself, scantily clad and holding a sex toy. She initially tried to blame Wittman, but no one believed that whopper. She lost by a wide margin.

But, to her credit, she translated her little scandal into a gig at MSNBC, where the left-wing pundits are apparently paid according to the idiocy of their remarks. Her “move” to DC (and MSNBC) was definitely the Commonwealth’s gain.
