The Republican Party as a whole is not a limited government party. While there are components of it that are dedicated to limited government the establishment wing/leadership is dedicated to slowing the advance of socialism (not reversing it). They exist to maintain the illusion that there’s a choice. The sooner that everyone realizes this the better.

They were waiting for low hanging fruit like the birth control/contraceptive mandates to pick off the Obama-care branches. Look how well that targeted strategy has worked.

Repealing Obama-care was a major campaign promise in 2010.
