No, it means they can only track you by means of the IP address your ISP assigns to your computer. If you’ve been to Google, you have an account from what I understand. You just have to create a password to access it and change settings.

How does that work? I've never been given an account name. I just use the Google search engine.

Same here, but in the upper right hand of the page is my email address with a drop down box that leads to my account.

You’ve probably given google info without knowing it. They’ve bought many many companies through the years. From YouTube to Motorola Mobility to Zagat restaurant reviews, it’s nearly impossible to have been on the web for a few years and not had one of your websites bought by the goog.

It doesn’t show an e-mail account for me. Just says: “sign in”.
