After a third day of bloody protests over the burning of the Koran, there is a sense that America is lurching from one image crisis to the next in Afghanistan, with no clear path for U.S. officials to defuse the latest uproar.
President Barack Obama apologized on Thursday for the burning of copies of the Koran on a U.S. base in Afghanistan, an incident that has triggered far more outcry than another shocking incident: the emergence of a video last month showing Marines urinating on the corpses of what appear to be dead Taliban fighters.
Obama's apology over the Koran burning has been accompanied by other steps by the U.S. military meant to show remorse over what it sees as a tragic blunder. The Pentagon detailed new outreach to Muslim leaders, and the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan has promised training on the proper handling of religious materials as well as a swift investigation.
But analysts are doubtful more can be done to calm Afghans incensed by the destruction of Islam's holy book.
Instead, outrage in Afghanistan may have to simply run its course, leaving America to grapple with any fallout on its delicate campaign to foster reconciliation and forge a long-term security agreement with Afghanistan. …
The Taliban has urged Afghans to target foreign military bases and kill Westerners in retaliation and, on Thursday, a man wearing an Afghan army uniform opened fire on two American servicemembers. NATO has declined to say if the shooting was connected to the protests.
President Hamid Karzai's office said on Thursday it wanted NATO to put on public trial those responsible. …

It wouldn’t be too difficult to use pages as bedding for the hogs. I’m sure someone in one of those weird countries has been filmed having their way with a pig. It shouldn’t be hard to spread that stuff far and wide over the internet. If cartoons send them over the edge, I figure we can jack their blood pressure up long enough and often enough they’ll be in a perpetual frenzy.
At least we can ID the locals and take precautions.
Think of it like turning on the light and watching the cockroaches run. Once you know where they are you can be prepared.

Time to burn some qurans again, and post the pics. Several were used for fuel the last time this became an excuse for murder.
Is that necessary?
Well, no.
But if it riles the koranimals, that's incentive enough. I never bought the PC hand wringing that it endangers our troops; they have been killed for years due to the more asinine "rules of engagement" which punish them for doing their job, and protects the MMM (mass mass murderers.

Heck, you don’t even have to burn a Koran, just say you’re going to burn one, and that’s all it takes to set those people off.
If they wouldn’t make the Koran out of a flammable material, they wouldn’t burn.
I say we should develop a hybrid car that runs on Korans!

I mean..Muhammed was the only Arab to ever win on the battlefield, so they had to make him at least a god prophet...if not a god. How dare anybody challenge the only god they know...even if he banged a 9-year-old.
Also, it’s a known fact that lying is considered by muslims to be just another tool in the box for islamic expansion. They feign “insult” just like our homegrown libs do. They know the koran is just ink marks on paper, and if it really were the word of god, then that trancends a mere physical book. But they have identified our fatal flaw: we believe them, and buy their feigned “rage” hook, line, and sinker.
