The Perversion of Rights [Mark Steyn]
National Review ^ | 2/25/2012 | Mark Steyn

CNN’s John King did his best the other night, producing a question from one of his viewers:

“Since birth control is the latest hot topic, which candidate believes in birth control, and if not, why?”

To their credit, no Republican candidate was inclined to accept the premise of the question. King might have done better to put the issue to Danica Patrick. For some reason, Michelle Fields of the Daily Caller sought the views of the NASCAR driver and Sports Illustrated swimwear model about “the Obama administration’s dictate that religious employers provide health-care plans that cover contraceptives.” Miss Patrick, a practicing Catholic, gave the perfect citizen’s response for the Age of Obama:

“I leave it up to the government to make good decisions for Americans.”

Every single one of her GoDaddy ads implies that she is going to have lesbian sex with a model or two or three.

Somehow I missed that part of the catechism when it was being taught.

“I leave it up to the government to make good decisions for Americans.”

Proving once again that talent and smarts don't always come in one package.

Sadly she will be seen as a model for a young dynamic woman.
As a Catholic of 75 years I remember my catholic Education and still follow it today. All these people who make their own rules are really not Catholic.
My grounding through Catholic education has allowed me to live a clean decent life.
We are without those rules today, in the general Population, and we witness the results by viewing the world disorder.

I knew things were going to be getting really ugly regarding “journalism” and “the media” when, about 15 years ago I heard an interview of a journalism student talking about why she wanted to go into journalism. She said, “to make the world a better place.” That was scary. Not to “report on events,” or “to help bring out the truth,” but “to make the world a better place.”

For years the “media” has tried to hide and even explain away their bias, but especially since the 2008 dem campaign they’ve completely stopped trying. It was so obvious that even Saturday Night Live did a sketch on it, showing a debate between Obama & Clinton, with the moderator offering Obama a pillow to make him more comfortable, while snubbing Clinton.

The so called media has so much invested with installing Obama and the dems into power that they are now existentially one being, simply different organs of the same corrupt, evil being.

The so called “main stream media” has simply been absorbed into the Obama regime, and can now only be honestly referred to as the “Ministry of Propaganda.”

Article 14 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, which states that everyone has the right “to receive free compulsory education.” Got that? You have the human right to be forced to do something by the government.

Causing one to wonder what she would need the "free" contraceptives for, anyway.

Birth control discussions BY Republicans unify an important part of the liberal base and work to get their vote out. We’re encouraging their radical feminists to open their checkbooks - and VOTE. That’s the reason the issue keeps coming up in debates on networks like CNN and by all liberal moderators. This is ONE MORE REASON to quit having our guys debate on liberal networks with liberal moderators. It’s mostly for the sake of shoring up the liberal vote.

Birth control discussions BY Republicans unify an important part of the liberal base and work to get the dem vote out. This topic encourages radical feminists to open their checkbooks - and VOTE. It also has a strong appeal to the monied people of Hollywood.

That's the reason the issue keeps coming up in debates - on networks like CNN - and by liberal debate moderators. They know this is NOT a burning issue among Americans ...

When dems realized gun control worked against them - liberal moderators dropped all questions about gun control.

Most alphabet networks are putting together segments on how the gasoline prices are NOT the fault of the President - they'll work at blaming some group perceived as being conservative. Watch for it. They work against us on many levels.

The MSM doesn't like us. We're almost 50% of the population yet fewer than 1% of us can be found writing for newspapers. Even at FOX, liberals outnumber conservatives. Yet, we still allow liberals to moderate our debates. It's hard to decide where to place outrage - with them for being so biased - and destroying the credibility of the news profession - or us for being so stupid to keep handing them the means to destroy us.

Sean Hannity stated that journalism died in 2008. I assert that it has risen as the living dead. The Zombie media. Zedia for short.

Now now, let's not be too critical of Danica.

After all, she's known for driving fast, not thinking fast.

Well ... that's Europe for ya. Or as Rummy aptly put it -- Old Europe.
It's also why I have Nigel Farage on my Google News Email Alerts.

He gives those unelected a_holes in Brussels the 'what for' every chance he gets. And I think he may be the last person in Europe with a functioning brain. As such the YouTube Videos of him speaking at the EU are a thing of beauty to watch.

This is one of his latest: Nigel Farage 01 Feb 2012
It's about Greece and its independence as a Country. (the EU is just taking it over.)

[I wish he'd move to the USA, become a citizen, and run for Congress.]

RE:“Since birth control is the latest hot topic ...

The media decided this one to take the heat off their 'made for television' president. They have to keep voter attention off the economy, the war, gas prices, Islam, Fast and Furious, Solyndra, Michelle's vacations, and his lack of accomplishments to protect their own creation.

They pulled a double double on the republicans by suckering them into a debate on church and state when the issue of contraception is not really a part of health care. Pregnancy is not a disease, contraception is not a preventative medicine and abortion is not a cure.
