Moment pharmacist sprays robber in face with pepper spray... meant for GRIZZLY BEARS(video)

A pharmacist took matters into her own hands when a serial drug thief came back for a third time looking for Oxycodone and Methadone.

Pharmacy manager Susan Beller gave alleged thief Aaron Miller more than he bargained for – a face full of pepper spray intended to stop grizzly bear attacks. Security footage shows Miller putting an arm up to stop the attack before he runs out of the Deer Park, Washington Medicine Shoppe.

Ms Beller told NBC affiliate KHQ that Miller had robbed the pharmacy twice before. Tired of being the victim, she took matters into her own hands.

‘The deciding factor for me is, I know how far away law enforcement is here from Deer Park,’ she told KHQ. ‘I know that we are kind of going to have to take care of ourselves.

When the robber came back, he pushed a note on the counter that read: ‘Gun. Give me all your Oxycodone and Methadone.’

Security footage shows Ms Beller reaching for something out of view of the camera. But rather than delivering the drugs, she gave him a hefty dose of pepper spray meant to deter grizzly bears.

'It’s called grizzly spray and it’s kind of high potency shots a long distance in a great big can for bears,’ she told kxly.com.

I love this. I advised my daughter, who likes to run long distances, to get some bear repellant. She said "Why? There's no bears in Michigan." I explained why. This is why.

She is lucky she is not dead? Where I live this robbing thief would have had his head blown off not sprayed by some woman. This feminism crap makes me puke. This is done by the media to make a statement to weakly respond to scum threatening your life. At my office and home I am never more than 15feet from a loaded firearm and I have pulled it and will again.this story sucks

While I applaud the pharmacists response to the robbers
attempt I also would suggest she acquire a stronger more
permanent means of protection. Apparently this was the
third time this waste of skin has come in to this pharmacy
to rob them. The bear spray may have deterred the third
attempt, it will not however prevent a fourth visit from
the addict....and the next time the addict may return with
a gun and transform himself from armed robber to murderer.

Very good advice. My wife and I lived in Round Rock, TX, from 1998 until 2006. Back around 2000 a young woman from Georgetown, TX, home on Christmas break from Stanford University, went jogging on a trail along the San Gabriel River. She never returned to her parents’ home. To my knowledge, the authorities never found a trace of her and they presumed that she met with foul play. If she had carried some of the bear spray she might still be among us.
