Liebermann needs to press a resolution refusing any shoot down order directed at Israeli planes by our Persian Gulf task force. (I believe we have a carrier group in the Gulf or nearby.)

I fear a covert message in JCS Chairman Dempsey’s statement that Israel hasn’t decided to strike Iran.

Bah, humbug. Iran will negotiate and negotiate and negotiate, until it has the bomb.

The U.S. has moved thousands of troops onto the islands of Masirah and Socotra. Even if nutjob Khamenei were to get a nasty venereal disease from one of his goats and die there will still be war.

And the Iranians are moving the centrifuges to the holycrap city Qom. It's like bombing Mecca - not that I have a problem with that either personally, but if you thought the sandmonkey's were upset over a few burnt science fiction korans, wait until we start bombing Qom.

Might be a good time to admit that islam is the problem and bomb them all to hell.

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

We had a carrier group in the Med on June 8, 1967 and the coward LBJ, McNamara, Rusk made sure it stood down too, when it damn well should have been defending and shooting down the attackers on our own USN ship the USS Liberty. The inaction remains a slap in the face to every USN seaman and to the memory of those 34 KIA and 170 wounded.

As a vet from 1967 I think about this crap every time our gutless leaders involve our US military in the ME. Will they defend our servicemen or does it all depend?

If it was up to me we’d stay out of that entire God forsaken area and let the residents there duke it out, and not one US serviceman would ever die for another country’s cause.
