Demonstrators hurled grenades at a U.S. base in northern Afghanistan, and a gun battle left two Afghans dead and seven NATO troops injured Sunday in the escalating crisis over the burning of Muslim holy books at an American airfield.
More than 30 people have been killed, including four U.S. troops, in six days of unrest. Still, the top U.S. diplomat in Afghanistan said the violence would not change Washington's course .
"Tensions are running very high here, and I think we need to let things calm down, return to a more normal atmosphere, and then get on with business," Ambassador Ryan Crocker told CNN's "State of the Union."
"This is not the time to decide that we're done here," he said. "We have got to redouble our efforts. We've got to create a situation in which al-Qaida is not coming back."

Anyone who knows the psyche of these barbarians know that they only respect strength. When they see weakness, they ramp up the attack.
That said, I wonder if the "WON" doesn't know this. I don't wonder that his sympathies lie on their side. His ROE alone demonstrate that.

"Demonstrators" carry signs, chant, and maybe burn a few effigies.
"Enemy combatants" throw live grenades and kill people.
I'd say these are the latter - and should be treated as such! They should be given a good dose of lead until they are either dead or surrender.

That’s because Obama hasn’t demonstrated sincerity in his apology. I suggest he cry in his next apology and sacrifice one of the kids or Michelle to demonstrate how sorry we are. That should stop the terrorists in their tracks.
I think obama apologized to them just to make us angry... and its working.. I am angry.
