The organisation of firebrand pastor Dr Terry Jones has said it will burn Korans and images of the Prophet Muhammad if an Iranian pastor is executed for his faith.
Stand Up America Now made the threat after it emerged last week that the Iranian courts may have upheld the execution order for Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani.
The pastor has been in prison since October 2009. He was originally detained for protesting but the charge was later changed to apostasy.
Dr Jones sparked an international panic in 2010 when he threatened to burn Korans on the anniversary of 9/11.
After sparking riots in parts of the Middle East and Asia, the pastor came under intense pressure from political and religious leaders, and agreed not to go ahead with the stunt.
No sooner was he out of the headlines when his small Florida church burned a Koran in March last year after putting the holy book on trial and finding it guilty of crimes against humanity.

In the spirit of “Turn about is fair play”, I suggest a modification of your line: “I think all Western nations should hold an international “Burn a Koran Day” at least once a year, or maybe once a month.”
Given the frequency of Muslims burning Christian churches, IMHO the world should adopt the following: “I think all Western nations should hold an international “Burn a Mosque Day” at least once a year, or maybe once a month.
A madrassa may be substituted for a mosque.
Well, Pastor Jones, I whack a Koran about once a month. If I knew how to do the video to internet routine, I would share with all. If there any muzzie buggers that want to protest me, I will let them hold the next Koran while i whack it.
This time the pastor has the right idea,
use this to correct their actions.
Make them react the way we want.
If not, burn all the copies.

I think it would be better if they offered a home for the Iranian pastor, and said they would burn a koran each day until he was released to them. A daily video with the intro “We will continue every day until he is released unharmed. If he is killed or harmed we will burn a koran each day until the end of time”.

Every form of Islam (Sunni, Shiit, etc.) demands death for “apostasy.” “Apostasy” is ceasing to believe in any of Islam’s teachings (even and especially for those born Muslim). You are automatically considered Muslim if your father was a Muslim (hence, the widespread belief that Pres. O is a Muslim...in the Muslim world). Therefore, in Islam, “you can checkout any time you like, but you can NEVER leave.”
The death penalty is also reserved for those who “insult the Prophet.” Of course saying “the Prophet” is wrong in not acknowledging Jesus is Lord is “insulting” hence, just being a Christian at all (even if you and your family never were Muslims) and saying so in public....can (and often does) bring the death penalty.
Following Sharia law (which inludes the penalties above) is required of all Muslims. Not following it is “apostasy” (see first paragraph above.).
Obama has been practicing Tequia from day one.

An “International panic?” I don’t remember that. And as far as I’m concerned the guy should be able to burn a koran if hippies can burn the flag.
