As an old pro-Romney/Mormonism poster here of many years, you should already know that many of our Mormon experts are ex-Mormon themselves, and that as far as being anti-Romney, well, freerepublic is anti-Romney, we are conservatives.

By now you should also know that all of the Christian churches agree that Mormonism is not Christian.

Is it “religious bigotry” if we don’t want a Muslim to be president? A religion is a powerfully defining factor in what someone’s world view, beliefs, temperament, ethics, values and personality is. It also defines what kind of people and groups will have influence on that person. To say that it’s “religious bigotry” to consider someone’s religion a factor when choosing whether or not to vote for them is totally uncalled for. I don’t know a whole lot about the Mormon religion, but I feel I would be obligated to learn a whole lot more about it before voting someone from its ranks into the presidency. It would be a dereliction of duty by a web site or media outlet to not report on the faith and try to educate people on it as much as possible when someone from it is this close to the presidency.
