Great to see this Rino retire. If we cannot win Maine presidential, there goes that Senate seat.

If we cannot win Maine presidential, there goes that Senate seat. We never had it in the first place.

As somebody pointed out on the Hotair, if it’s a blue seat anyway, it may as well go to the Dems, because that’s what the seat was regardless of who was sitting in it.
But maybe there will be a slim chance that the Republicans will take it.

Good riddance to her. I am sure she will be replaced by another liberal RINO. But at least she’s gone. However, I would have loved to see her taken out in the primary.

The seat wil go to a dem, simply because of the timing.
To get on the ballot, a candidate will have to gather 2,000 signatures (really 2500) in 2 weeks-in Maine-in March.
Mainers, read my tag;

The sad thing is that we will probably get another RINO to replace her.

To: SMGFan
Can there possibly be any downside to this “retirement”?

Maine is a Democrat state. It may be that Snowe was the best you could elect there... time will tell.

Since she uniformly boted with the ‘rats, big deal. She gave us Obamacare with her treason.

http://snowe.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/biography ~ check out her committee assignments. The biggest impact will be the folks moving up on the Republican side. That would be a really big impact if the Republicans can take over the majority there.
It is possible there are HIDDEN DOWNSIDES in this ~ that would involve a worse RINO moving up.

She is a slacker as far as representation goes. Now, the taxpayers fund the rest of her life.

What are the prospects for a more conservative Republican winning Snow’s seat?
To: SMGFan
Time for her to get Snowed out and stop her Snowe job on the people.
Snowe leaves me cold.
