Morning Joe likes to think of itself as the most scintillating three hours on morning TV. But did the show have a soporific effect on Michael Steele? When the camera cut to him today at 7:50 ET, Steele appeared to be, well, I believe the polite term is "resting his eyes." Hat tip NB reader Susan J, who points out Steele is due considerable slack since he was up late doing primary coverage for MSNBC.
Steele rebounded quickly and was able to laugh off the moment.

Isn’t that Steele’s natural state? I think it was when he headed RINO party.
Hope so.
But what’s a morning joe?
(never watched it, don’t care to)
I watch a few minutes every now and then just to try for an early morning laugh.
But it is painful anymore because they play their “bumper music” for about 5 minutes before and after the break, even over people on the show speaking. It is absolutely cringe-inducing, much like listening to AM radio late at night when adjacent stations drift on top of each other rendering both unlistenable.
I can’t believe they have anything other than minimal ratings.
Morning Joe let the cat out of the bag last week when he was trying to nail Santorum on some religious issue.
HBe said “Real unemployment is at 15% and this is the worst economy in decades and THIS is what [Santorum] wants to talk about?”
Well well well.. So HE KNOWS that real unemployment is at 15%?
And the economy is that bad?
Well... how about asking OBAMA’s folks about that some time huh?
[did he just admit they know how bad Obama sux?]
