A new poll from Rasmussen Reports finds Republicans Tommy Thompson and Mark Neumann leading Dem U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin for U.S. Senate, while she's about even with Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald.

The survey found Thompson leading Baldwin 50-36 percent with 4 percent backing another candidate and the rest undecided. Neumann led 46-37 with 4 percent backing another candidate and the rest undecided, while 41 percent favored Fitzgerald and 40 percent backed Baldwin in that match up.

If the race is between a respected elder statesman and a radical lesbian activist from Madison, this race will be in the bag. In spite of his past mistakes, Tommy Thompson is the strongest candidate we can offer.

Ole Tommy is the safer choice, he’s sure to win and gives as both Senate seats in WI for the first time since Joe McCarthy’s death.

But I think Neumann would win as well. Lesbo is bad choice in a blue collar state.

I’d certainly rather have the younger, more conservative Neumann in there but he COULD lose. Not the easiest call.

flippin bladwin...Last year, I was at a Memorial Day service @ Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. All sizes\shapes\forms\ages of people with the utmost respect and reverence for those fallen heroes. It was very moving.

baldwin was on the dais and when it was her turn to speak, she spewed the RAT mantra about health care etc...

I was out of my chair so fast, my wife ended up tackling me and putting a Vulcan death grip on me to keep my mouth shut.

I hope she gets annihalated.

Tammy Baldwin is flying a little too high for her sky, isn’t she?

What plays well in the Second District and especially Madison, does not necessarily play well in the rest of the state, maybe not even in Milwaukee.

This is interesting considering the last poll I saw had Obama comfortably ahead in Wisconsin. I hope things have changed. It’s facinating that somebody could vote for a GOP Senator and also to reelect Hussein.

“It’s facinating that somebody could vote for a GOP Senator and also to reelect Hussein.”

Maybe Tammy Baldwin is so radical that even some of her fellow Democrats can’t force themselves to support her.

Good point or perhaps simply there are some old fashioned democrats who haven’t signed off on the degeneracy.

Yes, he’s certainly the one that deserves to win.
