(RINO) Haley urges Obama to spend more on port deepening

WASHINGTON — Gov. Nikki Haley implored President Barack Obama on Monday to find more money to deepen the Charleston port and other Atlantic harbors so they can accommodate giant cargo ships after the widening of the Panama Canal is completed in 2014.

Haley, at a White House meeting with Obama and other governors, said she also urged the president to kick the Army Corps of Engineers into higher gear on deepening the Atlantic ports.

“I personally talked to him about the ports that we’re all facing – and the fact that why does it take the Corps of Engineers 10 years to do a deepening project,” Haley told reporters after the White House session.

“We need it done within less than a year,” she said. “Other countries are doing it, why aren’t we doing that?”

Uh oh, Haley has gotten herself stuck in another fiasco. Today the state legislature unanimously overrode her veto on the ports deal. She's become a complete RINO and continues to disappoint me very much with her weird decisions you know like rescinding on already set in stone deals and setting up SC for failure.

She is so concerned about deepening the Charleston port that she vetoed the bill that would allow South Carolina to do just that.

Wanted to get the dough through Uncle Sam.

In a way that’s understandable, but it’s also a vicious trap. The golden rule would then apply — whoever ponied up the gold makes the rules — and South Carolina would have less or no say about what is done with that port.

Isn’t this something. Doesn’t want to do it as Newt suggested of how to pay for the deepening of the port; wants tax dollars. What a shame. The Tea Party got whacked by her, didn’t they. She will be defeated on her next time around.

But we, the US, want/need to be able to manufacture our goods to sell to them and to control the port not the foreigners controlling our port. Manufacturing here. I like Newt’s plan and how to pay for the deepening of the Savannah port vs. Nikki’s plan to ask Obama for more of our tax dollars to modernize the port.

It seems like the TEA Party got snookered by more than one RINO in Conservative clothing. We need to remember what the great Ronaldus Magnus told us: “It has been said that politics is the second oldest profession. I have learned that it bears a striking resemblance to the first.”

“Wanted to get the dough through Uncle Sam.”

We have a NOT Taxed Enough Already Party governor in Michigan that whores himself out to Maobama for money to build bridges and high speed rail with that good old prevailing wage high dollar goonion labor. Our whore has a lot of support from weaklings in the state. It’s o.k., according to these clowns, to rob the nation to pay for their projects.
