With modern sound processing capability, you could shift the speaker’s voice pitch to a shrill region (or for a shrill speaker, to a boomy region) before playing it back to him/her. That would annoy.

It doesn't take sophisticated equipment. I was on a conference call this week. A co-worker in the adjacent office decided to call into the conference. He turned his speaker phone on. It didn't matter when we were all listening. When it was my turn to speak, my words round-tripped through the conference bridge and were audible through the wall from the adjacent office. It was just impossible to finish a sentence. I had to have him go off the speaker phone to continue.

That is easily and quickly fixed if you have a good telephony company. Our family has been in that busines for over 30 yrs. And they should be able to do it remotely.

That would be easier if I didn’t have a government job, with a government telephone guy. The same people that are supposed to provide you with bandwidth deny your bandwidth requests, then steal your bandwidth to install a VOIP phone system.

Sounds like the perfect machine for the OWSers to use in their goofy echoing of the speaker’s message. Just think how much more efficient this would be — much faster echoing, no people unclear if they are repeating the right words, all the echos in proper unison, avoided strain on vocal chords. But that would lead to unemployed OWSers, so this machine should be destroyed immediately.

Jokes aside, liberals DO actually have techniques that they train their spokespeople with,

one of those techniques is called “jamming”,
and it involves continuing to speak out of turn and not letting the opposition get their point out.
