Boston Phoenix writer Chris Faraone wants to make one thing very clear: He didn’t want Andrew Breitbart dead, although the two exchanged some very ugly words just days before the conservative attack dog was felled by a heart attack.
“Hell, no,” the author of “99 Nights with the 99 Percent: Dispatches from the First Three Months of the Occupy Revolution” told the Track. “I won’t miss Breitbart’s rhetoric, but I’m also not dumb enough to think that it will end with him. If anything, I found his hustle inspirational.”
A few days before his death yesterday, Breitbart, 43, a rabid right-winger and Monday morning fixture on WRKO’s “Tom and Todd Show,” got into an ugly throwdown with Faraone when the lefty scribe went on the radio show to flog his new book.
Breitbart seized on the opportunity to launch into a diatribe about an incident at the recent Conservative Political Action Conference in D.C. where, he said, Occupiers trespassed, swore and acted “like a marauding horde.”
What, asked Breitbart, did CPAC do to deserve that???
“Rampant heterosexism, bigotry, some of the most ignorant speeches I’ve ever heard in my life,” fired back Faraone. “I approve of yelling at anyone at CPAC — particularly you. You’re a disgusting animal.”
Whoa.
“I heard his whiney little voice and lashed out,” Chris, a former Herald music writer, told us. “These are issues that are near and dear to my heart, and I’m a tough kid. I’m not afraid to scrap.”

But Breitbart gave it right back, yelling at Farone to “Grow up! Grow up!” and calling him “robot boy,” when Faraone couldn’t come up with one “sexist, bigoted, homophobic” comment uttered at the CPAC convention.

God. I love Breitbart. Yes that IS present tense. Just because he has passed doesn’t mean I can’t still love him in the moment.

Not only was Breitbart definitely a “rabid right winger,” but the Herald is the conservative alternative to the Globe.
The opposite of a "breeder" is an "extincter".
