Voting in America is about as free and clean as voting in Cuba. America is rotting from the decay of evil. I love this Republic and this type of (you fill in the blank) hurts me to the core. We now live in a Banana Republic... or worse.

Keywords are “could be”.

It seems like anywhere they knew it would be shaky for Mitt, all these problems seem to crop up or else the rules get changed.

Yesterday it was reported there were three districts, now there “could be” eighteen.

What a scam.

You could substitute any name for Santorum and the whole story would have been repeated. The GOP establishment HAS decided that Romney IS the nominee. The DNC WANTS Romney. The media WANTS Romney. It’s a done deal.

The system has been and is being geared and gamed to make Romney the candidate.

Across the board, this is IMO the worst example of a Presidential primary I`ve ever seen. The one “success” each has had is making the others unelectable.

WoW...and these guys (Newt and Rick) aren’t on the ballot in Virginia because of their own incompetence.

People in Ohio ought to vote for the guy who at least shows you the respect that at least he is prepared to run for President.
Thats like having one job and three people show up and only one is wearing a hard hat that is required.I’m hiring the guy who came prepared.I’m voting for Mitt at least he came prepared to work.

Maybe he can talk his way out of this one......That’s what he seems to do the most of.

I agree that the fix is in for Romney and it’s disgusting.
The GOP deserves what it gets for not recruiting better candidates.

This is a lose/lose sitution. If Bam wins, we get ...four more years of an unfettered socialism regime bent on destroying our freedoms and our country. If Romney wins, we get ...a flip flopping, lying, power hungry, unlikable, mean spirited, out of touch “moderate” who may not destroy the country but would govern like the liberal that he is, expand government programs and make the Tea Party and the will of We The People insignificant.

I agree with those who say that if Mitt is nominated, Obama will win another term. This whole thing is a nightmare.

My intention is to concentrate on keeping the House and taking the Senate..no funding to the GOP and to make direct donations and other support to the Conservative candidates. If we have both houses come November, the powers of the executive office will be somewhat limited.

As for the Supremes and the likely retirement of at least two justices, Valerie will once again choose feminists like Kagen and Sotomayor to succeed them. If that happens, God help us all.

""Rick Santorum has failed to get on the ballot in Virginia, has failed to file full delegate slates in Tennessee, New Hampshire and Illinois, and has failed to submit enough delegates in several Ohio congressional districts," said the spokesman, Ryan Williams, alluding to other Santorum logistical pitfalls. "The fact that he cannot execute the simple tasks that are required to win the Republican nomination proves that Rick Santorum is incapable of taking on President Obama's formidable political machine."

There's no doubt the above statement is true.

Rick supporters were lecturing Newt about being ineligible in the Missouri beauty contest where no delegates were being awarded.

Meanwhile their candidate had worse problems.

Shows the power of media propaganda...still.

Rick will say this is just another conspiracy to deny him the nomination but hey, I read something 2 or 3 months ago about Santorum possibly not qualifying in Ohio so it’s not some anti-Rick plan that was cooked up overnight by the established Ohio Republican party.

There are winners and there are whiners. Who are you backing?

Santorum is partially at fault, he should have made sure he had delegates if the rules call for them.

But, the real problem is 56 sets (States, DC, Territories) of Byzantine rules for picking delegates. The RNC need to come up with two basic sets of rules for Primary and Caucus States and compel the state parties to adhere to them.

A candidate should be allotted Delegate slots instead of having to name all delegates prior to the caucus or primary.

You get x delegates per congressional district, x delegates for winning the whole state. Weighted by the total number of republican votes in the state and district in the last election.

A set percentage of signatures per total republican presidential votes in the last election to get on the ballot.

Simple and clean, and it will never happen with ANY party, 3rd parties included, because everyone likes to bend the rules to favor their guy...

After weeks and months of Newt being attacked by Rick's devotees for failing to get on the ballot in Virginia, where Santorum didn't even attempt, I look forward to the senator's apologists finding ways to spin this.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

The hypocrites are already howling.

Of course Romney may not be eligible in all districts in the US. But does not seem to matter.
