Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (R-Fla.), in response to the Rush Limbaugh-Sandra Fluke controversy, told the host of Meet the Press Sunday, "I don't know any woman in America, David, that thinks that being called a slut is funny."

This hysterically comes less than two months after the Florida Congresswoman appeared on vulgarian Bill Maher's HBO program Real Time (video follows with transcript and commentary):

REPRESENTATIVE DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ (D-FLORIDA): Then the other news in contraception this week was Rush Limbaugh criticizing a young law student who stood up and said, look, at Georgetown Law School, not only am I required to pay for my own health insurance because Georgetown Law requires all students to pay for health insurance, but contraception's not covered. And what did he do? He called her a slut. A slut. And now I'm sorry, I know he apologized, but forgive me if I doubt his sincerity given that he lost at least six advertisers. And the bottom line is that the leading candidate on the Republican side for president couldn't even bring himself to call Rush Limbaugh's comments outrageous and call him out and ask him to apologize.

DAVID GREGORY, HOST: You're talking about Mitt Romney.

REP. SCHULTZ: Yes. Mitt Romney. What, what woman in America--and Rush Limbaugh, in that apology, said that he was trying to be humorous. I don't know any woman in America, David, that thinks that being called a slut is funny.

But Maher thinks that's funny and so do his fans.

On March 18, 2011, to cheers and applause, the host of HBO's Real Time called former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin a "dumb twat."

Then, according to the Dallas Voice, while performing at the Winspear Opera House nine days later, Maher called Palin a "cunt."

If slut is so offensive to Wasserman Schultz, shouldn't "dumb twat" and "cunt" also be?

Apparently not for on January 13, 2012, the Congresswoman appeared on Maher's HBO show.

I guess disgusting misogynistic terms are only inappropriate when directed at a liberal woman and just fine when said of a conservative, which perfectly illustrates the absurdity of the Left's outrage concerning what Limbaugh said about Fluke.

If Wasserman Schultz were really offended by Limbaugh's comments she would have been equally outraged by Maher's regular misogyny - as well as that of his audience! - and therefore would never go on his show.

But because he's a liberal that typically speaks her language and advocates for politicians and causes she does, he gets a pass.

she can afford Georgetown University but can't handle contraception?????She could refrain from sexual activity which she should be doing anyway as a single girl at a Catholic school......or she could advise her paramours that they would be responsible for the cost of birth control, or she could get an aspirin and hold it between her knees. I have seen her picture and read some of her background and I find it amazing that "she" needs contraception at all.

Last July on HBO, he said Palin was “a bully who sells patriotism like a pimp, and the leader of a strange family of inbred weirdos.”

Last September on his show, Maher said Palin would have sex with Rick Perry if he was black.

Maher bragged on his show Friday critics can’t touch him because “I don’t have sponsors.” But that doesn’t mean he should be coddled, either, and yet he’s regularly honored across the media as a special guest, be it news networks or entertainment shows.

Days after he called Palin the T-word, he appeared with then-CNN host Eliot Spitzer, where Spitzer concluded, “Your show is brilliant. I love watching it.”

Or as Debbie's friend, ( Bill Maher ) would say - She's a cu*t. Yep, Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a c*nt - and a twat. We need to learn to talk like liberals because they're sooooooo cool. Well, according to the New York Times - an organization that's never found a liberal they wouldn't defend - or a conservative they wouldn't trash. Even if for the same 'crime'. If we had a liberal audience like Maher, and we called Debbie a c*nt, they'd all be yucking it up - clapping - just for hearing the word. Or maybe not - Debbie is 'one of them'. And without the double standard they'd have no standards. Right?

Ever notice how thrilled liberals are when Jon Stewart uses a dirty word? Same with Maher. They're all a twitter - the energy level goes waaaaay up. They love it. Especially when those words are used to describe conservative women like Sarah Palin.

It's strange the press never seems to be offended when conservative women are called cun*s etc.... could it be because they're emotionally 'in' on the fun?
