Women Star in the President's Political Theater: Who's Really Getting Played?
Catholic Online ^ | 3/5/12 | Jennifer Hartline

After Sandra Fluke's testimony before Congress last week, two things became clear: 1) This controversy is political theater if I ever saw it, and 2) modern, secular "feminism" makes women stupid.

With a pen stroke and a press conference, President Obama used women to initiate a war on Religious freedom and with the media lapdogs panting at his heels, he made sure the Republicans, and especially the Catholic Church, were painted as misogynist zealots.

Ms. Fluke has become the latest player in a drama that President Obama has manufactured and fueled for his own political gain. Fluke, the Georgetown law student who's actually an activist for Reproductive Justice, joined Nancy Pelosi, Kathleen Sebelius, Barbara Boxer, Cecile Richards (Planned Parenthood), Nancy Keenan (NARAL), and scores of other Congressional leaders and political activists who are bemoaning the trials of life without free birth control pills.

With the President leading this contrived and fraudulent battle over "women's health", these so-called "feminists" have pinned women's entire well-being to a package of pills and reduced women to just vaginas and uteruses.

Fluke, who was portrayed as a 23 year-old co-ed, is actually 30 years old and by her own admission chose to attend Georgetown precisely so she could battle their insurance policy since it does not cover contraceptives. What a handy witness she turned out to be last week on behalf of Obama's contraception mandate. So important was she to Obama's theater show that he personally called her to apologize for things Rush Limbaugh said on his program concerning her testimony...

To insist that government or our employers must subsidize our sexual behavior makes us the most selfish, lazy, immature, and embarrassing society America has ever seen.

I know this article applies to womyn, as well it should, but the shoe certainly fits the homosexuals and the gay agenda as well.

Why wasn’t this woman invited to speak in front of the Congressional panel?

I thought nobody would able to motivate me to vote for Romney next fall if he is the nominee but this has! It will do my heart good to take down the left’s messiah even if it is with a man I can’t stand and don’t trust!

This is, indeed, a great article. And I admire the woman who had the courage to write it. She will now be vilified and ostracized by the left.

Here, as I see it, is the problem: if everything we see in the entertainment media, on the news, and at the polls is any indication, the majority of women under 40 in our country have become crotch-crazed liberals.

In their opinion, nothing — but nothing — prevails over their right (and, yes, it is their right) to be promiscuous.

If an unborn baby gets in the way, kill it. If the Constitution gets in the way (as in Freedom of Religion), abandon it. If anyone even dares to suggest that there is such a think as morality, attack them.

Do I think the situation is hopeless. Very likely so.

I can’t help but feel that the Catholic church is deserving of much of what it is getting in light of their democratic support of the pos poseur president. Unfortunately, the issue is also a constitutional issue that most seem more than willing to overlook. It will come back to bite them on the a$$ also.

Great article, I especially like the mention of women ingesting hormones via birth control pills...you know...the hormones these same women don’t want in their beef, pork, or chicken.

I agree with Rush. If that slut can’t afford to pay for her own entertainment then she should learn the $0 cost of birth control of keeping her knees together.

Excellent article.

I believe the Obama administration started planning for this fight last fall, and got the MSM onboard, immediately. Otherwise, why would the Republican candidates have been asked about contraception back in January, weeks BEFORE the HHS Mandate was made public?

We, the Catholic voters, didn't see this one coming. Why should we have? Contraception has been available for years, and the Church hasn't tried to stop anyone who wants it, from getting it. It's interesting that no one is bringing up the fact that for YEARS, religious organizations have not paid for contraception, but only NOW it's a 'war on women'? Exquisite timing, don't you think, just months from the Presidential election?
