Obama Ally Won't Release Alinsky Tape
Big Government ^ | 3/5/2012 | Ben Shapiro

Sources inform Breitbart.com today that Pam Dickler, director of the 1998 production of The Love Song of Saul Alinsky in Chicago that included a panel discussion featuring then-State Sen. Barack Obama, has a video tape of the play. And she won’t release it. “There is only one archive tape of the play and I have it,” Dickler informed our source. “It is not in Chicago.” Dickler told our source that she doesn’t believe she’s ever watched the tape, and she doesn’t know if it “can be viewed.” But she added: “No one is going to see the tape.”

"It was at the Chicago home of [Bill] Ayers and [Bernardine] Dohrn that ["intellectual"] Obama, then an up-and-coming 'community organizer,' had his political coming out party in 1995. Not content with this rite of passage in Lefty World — where unrepentant terrorists are regarded as progressive luminaries, still working 'only to educate' — both Obamas tended to the relationship with the Ayers."

It is a shame this isn’t 2008, but it wouldn’t have mattered then either - most people who paid a bit of attention knew what Obama was about. I sincerely doubt this or the Breitbart tape(s) will matter at all. They only will matter to people like us, and we weren’t going to vote for him anyway. Perhaps, when Obama is put into historical context in the future, all of this will matter, but not now. It is a tragedy that someone so vile and so ill-fit has become our President, but he has.

It’s true. One day some of our liberal friends will be sitting by the pool reading tell-all political histories of 40 years ago, saying “we had no idea!” but we all knew.

If it helped Obama, you could be certain it would be immediately released.

She has seen it, and it must be devastating, therefore, it will never be seen.

Seems odd - thought Breitbart had the tape. Is this odd to anyone else?

Saul's `Song’ - Activist's tale is labor of love

Chicago Sun-Times - Friday, August 28, 1998

Author: Mary Houlihan-Skilton

Life is too short not to be full of passion and commitment.

Chicago activist and community organizer Saul Alinsky

` The Love Song of Saul Alinsky ‘ Opens tonight, to Oct. 3

Blue Rider Theatre, 1822 S. Halsted

$18-$22

(773) 989-1006

Oct. 8, to Oct. 25

Terrapin's latest venture into social consciousness is a staging of Herb Schapiro’s “ The Love Song of Saul Alinsky ,” a play that brings to life one of America's greatest community organizers.

Terrapin managing director Pam Dickler became acquainted with Schapiro and his play through her sister, who lives in New York City.

“My sister is in the shoe business, not show business, so I was surprised when she said she knew a playwright she thought I should meet,” Dickler said. “After talking to Herb and telling him about the company, he said `I have the perfect play for you.’ He was right.”

The Terrapin production will be the world premiere of Schapiro’s work, which last year had a staged reading in Los Angeles with Ed Asner as Alinsky. Schapiro is best know as the author of “The Me Nobody Knows,” for which he received a Tony Award nomination.

While reading the play and an Alinsky biography, Dickler realized that here was someone she had heard of but really didn't know much about.

“It was a fascinating life. And I thought others in Chicago must be in the same situation I was. It was time to tell Alinsky’s tale,” she said.

But when Dickler mentioned the project to those who actually knew him, their eyes got big. “There is a strong feeling about him in this city,” she said.

That strong feeling will be parlayed into panel discussions after the Sunday night performances. The lineup is still in the works, but among those who have agreed to appear are Studs Terkel, Monsignor Jack Egan, Heather Booth of the Democratic National Committee, state Sen. Barack Obama, political analyst Aaron Freeman, Don Turner of the Chicago Federation of Labor and Northwestern history professor Dr. Charles Paine.

“We are trying to educate as well as entertain,” Dickler said. “It's important to us that people walk away with a feeling that they have learned something, but they also have to enjoy it. Otherwise we've only done half the job.”

Here are the other members of the Obama panel:

Leon Despres: Despres knew Saul Alinsky for nearly 50 years, and together they established the modern concept of “community organizing.” Despres worked with secret Communist and Soviet spy Lee Pressman to support strikers at Republic Steel in Chicago in 1937; the strike ended in tragedy when 14 rioting strikers were killed and many wounded in a hail of police bullets. Despres worked with another Communist Party front, the Chicago Civil Liberties Committee, but eventually left because of the “Stalinism” of its leaders.

Also in 1937, Despres and his wife delivered a suitcase of “clothing” to Leon Trotsky, then hiding out from Stalin’s assassins in Mexico City. Despres and his wife not only met with the exiled Russian Communist, but Despres’s wife sat for a portrait with Trotsky pal and Marxist muralist Diego Rivera while Leon took Rivera’s wife Frida Kahlo to the movies.

Quentin Young: From 1970 until at least 1992, Quentin Young was active in the Communist Party front organization, the Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights – a group dedicated to outlawing government surveillance of radical organizations. He was also a member of the Young Communist League. Young, a confidante and physician to Barack Obama, is credited with having heavily influenced the President’s views on healthcare policy.

Timuel Black: An icon of the Chicago left, Black was originally denied officer training because military intelligence claimed he had secretly joined the Communist Party. Black also worked closely with the Socialist Party in the 1950s, becoming president of the local chapter of the Negro American Labor Council, a organization founded by Socialist Party leader A. Phillip Randolph.

In the early ‘60s Black was a leader of the Hyde Park Community Peace Center, where he worked alongside former radical Trotskyist Sydney Lens and the aforementioned Communist Dr. Quentin Young. Black served as a contributing editor to the Hyde Park/Kenwood Voices, a newspaper run by Communist Party member David S. Canter. By 1970, Timuel Black was serving on the advisory council of the Communist Party controlled Chicago Committee to Defend the Bill of Rights.

Timuel Black says he has been friends with domestic terrorists William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, “going back to 1968, since long before I knew Barack.” In April 2002, Black, Dohrn and Democratic Socialists of America member Richard Rorty spoke together on a panel entitled “Intellectuals: Who Needs Them?” The panel was the first of two in a public gathering jointly sponsored by The Center for Public Intellectuals and the University of Illinois, Chicago. Bill Ayers and Barack Obama spoke together on in the second panel at that gathering. Communist academic Harold Rogers chaired Timuel Black’s unsuccessful campaign for Illinois State Representative.

Studs Terkel: A sponsor of the Scientific and Cultural Conference for World Peace in 1949, which was arranged by a Communist Party USA front organization known as the National Council of the Arts, Sciences, and Professions.

Roberta Lynch: A leading member of Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and a leader of the radical Marxist New American Movement (NAM).

“This is different then the video Breitbart was going to release before his sudden death isn’t it?”

Last Thursday night on Hannity, AB’s partner Steve Bannon said they’re going through all the video(S) and would be releasing them in a week to ten days on Hannity’s show. So evidently, AB had multiple videos.

Sure pray Bannon and the others AB left behind in charge have the same dedication and courage that Andrew did, to carry on the mission and do right by him (and our country).
