Rush Limbaugh Apologizes Again, But Advertisers Continue To Sever Ties
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh is being criticized for recent comments he made about a Georgetown law student. He called Sandra Fluke a “slut” and suggested she post sex videos of herself on the Internet.

Rush Limbaugh offered more contrition Monday for his comments about a Georgetown law student, but the conservative radio talk-show host continued to lose advertisers as a result of outrage over his characterization of the woman as a “slut” and a “prostitute.”
“Those two words were inappropriate and uncalled for,” Limbaugh said at the start of his show on Monday, referring to Sandra Fluke, a student who had spoken out in behalf of insurance coverage for contraception. “They distracted from the point I was actually trying to make and again I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for using those two words.”
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh apologized for using harsh language to describe a law student who called for insurance coverage for birth control.
The apology reinforced a statement Limbaugh posted on his Web site Saturday in which he said that his “choice of words was not the best” and that he was attempting to be humorous in his attack on Fluke on two programs last week.
Many thought Limbaugh’s initial apology was inadequate, and their outrage helped compel advertisers to pull their commercials from Limbaugh’s program.
Two more national advertisers — online giant AOL and tax service Tax Resolution — said Monday that they were suspending their sponsorship of Limbaugh, bringing the total number of companies fleeing Limbaugh to nine. In addition, two local advertisers, Hadeed Carpet and Rug and window-replacement company Thompson Creek said they have pulled their ads from WMAL AM-FM, which airs Limbaugh’s show in the...

Carbonite may have shot themselves in the foot and not yet realized it.
You no more need Carbonite to backup and preserve your computer files than you need hamburger to make an apple pie.
Rush's salesmanship ship has convinced an awful lot of people to use the Carbonite system, when in reality, there are several BETTER backup systems and simpler methods than what Carbonite offers.
Anyone who knows about digital file preservation knows that carbonite is NOT the smartest way to go. Really.

I think people are supposed to have 2 different backups. Hard copies, yes, but also cloud off site backups as well.

Where was the lefts indignation when Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a “ dumb twat.” on television , and Democrat Jerry Brown called Meg Whitman “ a whore.” Where was the lefts indignation then?
These liberal fascists can give it out but they cannot take their iown medicine. I have no problem with Rush calling Fluke a slut and a prosituite, because she is asking to be paid tax payer dollars to have sex.At least Rush is accurate compared to Jerry Brown and Bill Maher, who both suffered none of the slings and arrows Rush Limbaugh now suffers gladly.
I totally get where you're coming from; in the event fire, flood, theft, whatever kind of loss were to occur at the original platform's physical location, there would be an off site backup unaffected by local calamities.
Some are more more sensitive to the even theoretical unauthorized access to their stored data than others, and I think that's the sentiment that was trying to be conveyed, that one doesn't necessarily have to rely on one of these backup providers to secure data.
Would a second external drive, stored off site count? :)

The more they attack, the more shrill and outrageous they become. It’s called OVERKILL. Pretty soon, it gets so shrill you got to cover your ears until no one is listening anymore.
If Rush doesn’t ever mention this again, it dies within a day or two. Watch. Next week fluke will be fluked. Anyone remember bialek?
However, I believe carbonite and the others use the fact that they have no access nor codes to the encrypted Info they store for people is their own legal cover.

The question I have is, why should I have to pay for her screwing around? Could very well be that she has chosen the wrong profession and should consider getting paid for what she enjoys doing? In turn this would help to defray her expenses.
I do believe that Rush was right on target as he usually is by calling a spade a spade. Should all else fail she always could consider requesting from her Beau to use condoms what could reduce her expenses considerably. Times certainly have changed as I would have been embarrassed to death to testify and advertise my behavior at a congressional hearing and for the whole world to know that I have a hard time keeping my legs closed.
It certainly comes as no surprise to me that a liberal/socialist would come to her defense and condone her behavior along with her request for some one else to shoulder the expenses for her recreation. At the same time attacking some one who properly identified her behavior by comparing it to an age old profession.In closing I would like to state that I am certainly not a beacon of morality, but I do profess still having a few ounces of common sense at my disposal apparently more than some of the advertisers on Rush’s show.

They are always going to both protect their chosen targets and denigrate Republicans (mostly Conservatives).
While they continue with their crap, I grow more against them so maybe it all evens out. I do tend to find companies that do not knuckle under to them and others that are just simply conservative to begin with.
So, yes, you are totally right but that has no bearing in today’s world where Conservative opinion is vilified. That means that we have to do whatever we can to protest THEM.
