The Drudge Report has linked to MRC TV's Stephen Gutowski, who dug up that the Radical Feminist Heroine of the Week Sandra Fluke thinks insurance policies shouldn't just pay for contraceptives, but for "transgender" amputations and implants.
If the national media thinks this scandal-ette deserves to go for weeks on end, where is this story? Steve reports Fluke makes her view of an amputation entitlement clear in an article she co-edited with Karen Hu in the Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law:
The title of the article, which can be purchased in full here, is Employment Discrimination Against LGBTQ Persons and was published in the Journal's 2011 Annual Review. I have posted a transcript of the section I will be quoting from here. In a subsection of the article entitled "Employment Discrimination in Provision of Employment Benefits" starting on page 635 of the review Sandra Fluke and her co-editor describe two forms of discrimination in benefits they believe LGBTQ individuals face in the work place:

"Transgender persons wishing to undergo the gender reassignment process frequently face heterosexist employer health insurance policies that label the surgery as cosmetic or medically unnecessary and therefore uncovered."

This woman was hired by Pelosi and Obama for just this reason. I just bet they put their heads together on their little Hawaiin Christmas vacation and came up with this little plan.
Pelosi and Co. have opened a can of worms they will not be able to close. Fluke should have gone with the slutwalkers instead of two socialist whores.
Isn't that why we have a representative form of government ... so the governed may participate in the government???
What really needs to be done is to place people who want to cut their penis off or have a home made vagina in a home for the insane and treat them accordingly.

Look at his apology. He was really apologizing to conservatives for being one of them and then stooping to the level of liberals. He apologized for his choice of words.
He is going to hammer this woman. It will be relentless. Watch and see.
This development gets us back on the REAL issue of just what the rest of us should be expected to pay for. And sex change surgery ain’t gonna play nearly as well in Peoria as the pill did.

So where do you draw the line? Shouldn't addadicktome surgery be covered as well? Circumcision? Facial lifts and cosmetic surgery? Vintage French military uniforms if I think I'm Napoleon? You can make as good as or better case for any of these.
This is sort of like the freak show set which claims their Blue Tick Hound is a necessary companion animal for their emotional welfare, so should be allowed in public places on the same basis as a blind person's seeing eye dog.
And I say that as a person who actually likes hound dogs a lot. They are as loyal and affectionate as any breed you will ever find. But they put their wet nose and slobber over everything and are, thus, an inappropriate dog to allow in a restaurant.
It's common sense. Just like limits on health care coverage.
Conservatives will all hear his logic on his radio broadcast while the majority of nit-wits out there in Obama-land will only hear the apology. None of the Obama-land nit-wits listen to Rush; they only listen to what ABCCBSMSNBCCNN says Rush said.
Rush was wrong to play into their hands with that apology.

The MSM is maybe the biggest enemy of the U.S.A.
Many insurance companies already pay for these types of surgeries, but only if the employer group has purchased the rider for this type of surgery.
These are not main stream covered benefits for surgery under most HMOs and PPOs because they cost hundred of thousands of dollars in pre surgery evaluations, treatments, etc, and then the expense of hospitalization and surgery for what is essentially a lifestyle choice and not life threatening. If the employer group wants the benefit, actuary will determine how much more this cost will be spread over the group, and then to the individual in terms of higher premiums for the added benefit at the ready for anyone who wishes to have transsexual surgery.
