No to mention Santorums support for Christine Whitman. And here's what she stood for:
Pro global warming.. Head of EPA....formed action committee consisting of Pro Log cabin dudes.....pro-abortion...Pro- partial birth abortion....additionally was earmarked to serve under the Obama Administration.
So what business did Santorum have in voting for someone who stood in direct opposition to those things he claims he stands for.....or does he?
You don’t even understand what I said you don’t understand.....which does prove one thing. Newts strategy to ignore the tiny caucuses with few delegates was stupid and Rick’s strategy to treat them like they were huge states ended up being smart - because folks like you fell for it hook, line and sinker.
The candidates need to duke it out until one is left standing. Give every Republican across the nation a chance to weigh in. I live in CA and we have to elect whom others decide is the nominee and I can tell you, it sticks in our collective craw. The only folks who don’t like to see a long drawn-out fight-to-the finish are the country-club Republican elites, but things are different this time - it’s not business as usual and people are paying attention to what’s happening.
Newt Gingrich is the guy I want to see standing when it’s all over.
It is winner-take-all California that is giving me an anxiety attack.
No, Georgia is not winner-take-all. They are proportional statewide, and 1/2nd for districts, with a 50% takes-all on the districts.
I ran the current results, and here’s what I think the delegate count is from Georgia:
Gingrich - 53, Romney - 17, Santorum - 3.
If Santorum had picked up 4200 more votes, it would have been: Gingrich - 49, Romney 14, Santorum 10.
I was ashamed of TN. last night. It seems as if all anyone has to do is come to this state, thump a Bible a couple of times, give a few speeches with a phony evangelist tenor, and Jethro and Maudine can’t wait to vote for them.
All any Santorum voters ever give as their reason for supporting him is his family values. A Republican Jimmy Carter is not the answer.
I don’t know if this is so, but I was told today that Romney made the statement that only an act of God could keep him from the nomination. Let us pray....

The MSM, Liberal Agenda Media (LAM), etc., considers this Primary Campaign to be a sports event that happens every 4 years. Their main concern is “Who is number one?”
The MSM/LAM already have their “ inevitable nominee” hit-piece stories on their flash drives, and are very impatient with the unreasonable behavior of the “Non-Romney” Candidates that insist on extending this un-necessary Primary Campaign.
The GOP/RNC/Republican Party/RINO Barn/Big Tent/Bipartisan Cave-In Headquarters has been able to con us for 48 YEARS! Yep, 48 years since the last brokered Convention.
Do this: add up all the voters who vote in the Primary Elections for all the States, and then compare that number to those who vote Republican in the National election.
What you will find is that only 4 voters out of 100, or 4 % choose who will be the “Nominee” for you to accept or reject come November.
To put that in context, here is an example: At your High School, the principal has called a meeting of the students parents to decide if all sports at the High School should be discontinued on the First Tuesday in November, 2012.
500 parents show up but only 20 are allowed to vote on the question.
Same thing with the GOP for 48 years: “Just hold your nose when you vote for who the 4 % have chosen for you! Oh, and BTW, thanks for “Uniting” behind our Nominee.”
15 Trillion dollars later the GOP is still clinging to that obsolete and wreckless tradition, totally unaware, that this election WAS their Last Hurrah!
Enter, stage left, some wanna be “Big Government can solve all your problems” politicians, who will not admit that Big Government IS the problem.
So we have Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dumber to choose from, thank you the 4 % !
I say “Thank you Primary Candidates for your ideas and efforts, now please sit down while WE at this Tampa Republican Convention choose somebody who does understand that Big Government is the main problem.

It would be incredibly reckless to nominate Santorum, but, since he is getting crushed by the Catholic vote in the Midwest, I don't think there's much chance of that happening anyway.
Pray is right....I’m with Newt for the long haul and will not underestimate him. He stepped back and let Santorum run with the ball and Santorum failed....plus his deligates are not bound delegates....it’s pretty fluid for him in that respect.
Yes, it’s frustrating when people think that simply having family values is sufficient for them to vote for Rick...if per chance Santorum goes to WAshington they will be sorry they voted for him over Newt....
Problem is Santorum will not be able to top Obama ...that simply isn’t going to happen and he just proved it...if he can’t take Romney what makes him think he could Obama’s machine? People need to really thin about that.
Further even for Romney...He couldn’t take out McCain why would he think he could Obama?
It’s soooo clear only Newt has what it takes in all the areas we need to win and take back but the American voter no longer considers more than apperances and who they can get excited about...and the heck with his record.
Santorum is a contrast to Obama. The last time the GOP lost the POTUS with a contrast was 1964.
