This is soooooo stupid on so many levels. Why do the guidelines require liquid milk - why can’t the dairy be yogurt or cheese?

Why suspend the teacher, when it was the Agent Ellerbe that stated the lunch was in violation of DHHS standards?

Most importantly, why is the government dictating and enforcing so called nutrional standards that may not even be healthy for all students.

What if the student is Lactose intolerant? What if they have celiac disease?

If the government wishes to outline their Idea of nutrition, they are entitled to their opinion, but no way should they be dictating to the local district or the parents any thing to do with health and nutrition.

Perhaps the teacher is taking the blame for the “immediate action” on the Federal goon’s pontification about the girl’s lunch. I guess they expected the teacher to do something more subtle like send a note to the girl’s parents tsk-tsking about the lunch without actually taking it away.
