Kraft Foods has decided to pull advertising for its popular Philadelphia Cream Cheese from the controversial ABC television show GCB, which critics say attacks Christianity.
The Chicago-based cream cheese titan says it made the decision after customer complaints began to pile up. 'Philadelphia has decided to pull its advertising from GCB ... We have received a few complaints from consumers and their opinions about our advertising are important to us,' a Kraft Foods representative told TMZ. Scroll down for video

Kraft Philadelphia has pulled advertising from the TV show GCB and decided to direct ads to other programs
Based on a book titled Good Christian Bitches, the ABC show has come under attack from Christian groups and women's rights advocates alike for its misogynistic show title, for portraying Christians in an unfairly bad light, and for other offensive stereotypes.
New York Ciy Councilman Perter Vallone recently joined the chorus of complaints, calling for viewers to boycott of the show and asking ABC to yank it off the air.

ABC reportedly considered changing the show's name to Good Christian Belles before settling on the acronym, but that did nothing to appease Mr Vallone.
'Theyre not fooling anyone with that, Vallone said. You cant change something thats already in your head...were not stupid,' Vallone told the New York Daily News.

Many in the non-religious community will forgive the show’s irreverence. They will not forgive its utter stupidity. I watched the first twenty minutes or so and could not believe how bad it was. All the characters were two-dimensional, cartoon-character stereotypes. This show makes Desperate Housewives seem like Anna Karenina. Unless the American appetite for crap is even greater than I thought, GCB will stand for Gotta Cancel, Baby.
They must have reacted to those throngs of crazed Christian women, surrounding their building, chanting ‘death to ABC’ and threatening to behead them...[/s]
Stop and think for a minute what a corrupt,Christian loathing entertainment complex it would take to foist such a show on the American public, and who would promote it, and what type of people would work on it.
mmmmm makes me hungry for some celery and Philly Cream Cheese right about now.
The kind that go to temple on Saturdays?
That's called the "OFF" button.
Mine is off most of the time...probably watch less than two hour per week.
The irreverence is what was supposed to give the show a buzz, but the writers seem too dull even to put in cheap shots at the church. So you end up with a show about boringly mundane stuck-up socialites that happen (today, it’s far more yawn than scandal) to attend a church too. You can’t cheapen church then complain it no longer serves as a good foil to your naughtiness.
Some generics are as good or better.
I bet most of the writers of this show are gay....all an attempt to portray the gays are the sane ones, while heterosexuals are portrayed as evil and warped.
Good for them
Time to make a cheesecake
If you mean Reform or secularized Jews, they’re probably so busy on Saturdays they can’t meet for worship anyhow.
This makes me happy. I don’t want to give up buying their products. I love that stuff.
Yup.
This is Disney, folks. Let those bastards know what you think.
The show starts off with a corrupt, Ponzi-schemer fleeing the law in his car, accompanied by his wife’s best friend, who is his mistress. She’s so thrilled with the five million in cash he has with him that she decides to stick her head under the steering wheel and perform a Lewinsky at 80 mph. The only complaint that nanny-state liberals have with the situation is that she took off her seatbelt.
Surely someone here has a complete list of the show’s sponsors?
You know what? I don’t like what they did to Rush, and I think turn-around is fair play, yep.
Anyone know? I’ve got an itchy dialing finger, right now.
Then I'm going to politely inform the sponsors that until I hear they have pulled their sponsorship of the shows (because I won't be watching), I'm not going to buy any of their products. If that means never again, so be it.
If everyone did the same, television might improve a little. That includes the MSM BS outlets, too.
