PALM BEACH, Fla. – After national controversy over his calling a Georgetown University law student a “slut” and “prostitute,” radio giant Rush Limbaugh says he has brand-new sponsors lined up to advertise on his program, and some who had canceled are now asking to return.
“We have three brand-new sponsors that will be starting in the next two weeks,” Limbaugh said this afternoon, adding he was not going to identify them today.
Two of the sponsors who have canceled have asked to return. We are being very careful about that. I’m not gonna give you any names here. One of them is practically begging to come back.”
There have been reports among some news agencies that at least 40 advertisers have abandoned Limbaugh’s top-rated program since the furor involving Sandra Fluke’s push for insurance-covered birth control erupted last week, but Limbaugh said those news outlets are not being honest.
“Because they lie, and because they don’t understand how it works,” he said. “Everything is fine on the business side. Everything is cool. There is not a thing to worry about. Whatever you’re seeing on television about this program and sponsors and advertisers is just incorrect.”

Oh...so you already hated Rush before this and don’t ever listen to him.

If the hypocrisy of this silly uproar over Rush and the constant drumbeat of just why Maher wasn’t chastised over his remarks about Sarah Palin continue....and it looks like it will....this might be the jig is up moment for the libs.
The left wins these orchestrated battles because they control the media and the national conversation. But this thing with Bill Maher, the million bucks to Obama, the fundraisers Maher will attend, somebody actually asking this question at the Obamer news conferance and yesterday somebody following one of those way out Dem woman asking for comment about the Maher thing with...Shiela Jackson Lee I think....saying over and over she had no comment....this will not only destroy THIS bit of plan by the left...if we’re lucky it’ll plant doubt against every future effort they make like this.
Which is an astonishing run on sentence I know but I think out loud.
The old saying is...”fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Not only is this hypocrisy with Maher essentially doing the same thing as Rush greeted with silence by the left showing up the shallowness of THIS flap, it’ll cast a pall over all future orchestrations the left does as is their wont.
See, Alinsky’s rules might be good ones for the left, but they mean nothing if everyone’s on to you.
I think Rush has taken your view, that he shouldn’t have made it personal. I also think if he’s kicking himself for anything it’s that he fell into the trap set by the Left. I don’t expect he’ll make that mistake again.

The difference is that those Leftists are engaged in a war to destroy America and to enthrone perversion, and Rush is not.
These constant complaints about a supposed "double standard" amaze me.
The Left has a single standard: If it is for the Revolution, and weakens America, it is good. If it is against the Revolution, and supports America, it is bad.
Maher and Schultz are foot soldiers in the transnationalist war to destroy America. THAT'S the difference between them and Rush.
I suspect that Fox has lost much of their viewing audience in recent days. They've lost me and so buying advertising on them won't reach me.

It is possible she is not a slut and that she just plays one on mock congressional hearings.
She never claimed to be 23; some people reported on the story and never checked their facts. Her bio said she graduated from Cornell in 2003. The reason everybody was confused is because the Democrats played bait-and-switch.
They announced a different witness (Rev. Barry Lynn - a separation of church and state guy). Congress has a 72-hour rule for announcing witnesses so the other side can vet your witness and find out about them.
At 4:30 p.m. the day before the hearing, Democrats said "no, we're using Sandra Fluke."
Republicans said you can't do that, we don't have time to vet her and find out about her, so she can't testify.
Then the Democratic Steering Committee staged that hearing where Fluke didn't have to testify under oath, and the media obliged an brought cameras.
People didn't know much about her because there wasn't the full 72-hour-notice of who she was - she never said she was 23.
Yesterday I was talking to a co-worker, and I tried to compare Maher to Rush. It was dumb on my part.
Rush used a term to describe a woman, ‘called her a name’. The name may describe her, may not. Rush doesn’t know the specifics of her sex life. If she has one partner she is not a ‘slut’, just has sex a lot (according to her own ‘testimony’). She is not a prostitute, otherwise her paying sex partners would be providing means for her to buy birth control.
Maher (and many on the left) use similar ‘names’. Not as descriptions, but as common derogatory terms/insults.

conservatives are slammed for being hypocrites if their moral standards (or those of their spouses,children associates etc) are low, so that implies liberals have no standards and thus are not hypocrites if their behavior is immoral

The Rush incident is oooolllld news. The media is onto other things now. That’s the thing about the MSM, they have ADD. The new topic is Solar Flares.
