Rush has Snerdly in his ear while he is on the air. If you listen, Rush responds to Snerdly, but he doesn't always repeat what Snerdly says to him.

In fact, from the way I hear it, Snerdly would be the Black version of Mark Levin without the polish if he had his own show. Rush calms him down, not the other way around.

Since Snerdly is Black, Rush should have just blamed him like Imus blamed his Producer who was the guy who actually made the Nappy Headed Hoe comment. Imus just repeated it and seemed to agree as an afterthought.

Imus took all the heat and I would almost bet it was in part due to the way he stuck it to Clinton at the Correspondent's Dinner years ago when he was the guest comedienne.

Then again, I pretty tired right now and I might just be susceptible to Conspiracy Theories.

Imus is a shock jock and pushed it way too far likely trying too out do Stern in shock value during that time. A Producer should be the one to make certain their show is not harmed by things which can get them canceled. That is one reason many live shows are actually 5-20 second delayed so Producer can stop comments. His show could be a training film on Dysfunctional.

Actually, he did have his own show on WABC radio in NYC a few years ago.
