Winston Churchill declared that in war, truth was so precious that it must always be accompanied by a bodyguard of lies. Because liberals are at war with American society and their true beliefs are repugnant to most Americans, liberals constantly conceal the truth of their beliefs with sweet-sounding lies.
Liberals constantly create a cloud of lies about their support for tolerance and diversity to conceal the absolutely intolerant core of their faith. Americans are informed that tolerance requires them to accept pornography, abortion, gay marriage, casual sex, and everything else that liberals happen to like. Strangely, however, liberals are not required to tolerate things they don't like, such as calling Christmas Christmas.
Fortunately, the strange case of Ms. Fluke has parted the veil of lies and revealed the heart of the liberal faith.
Sadly, Rush's calling Ms. Fluke a couple of names -- names far less offensive than used by liberals to describe Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Michelle Malkin, or Ann Coulter -- has diverted the conversation from Ms. Fluke's true evil.
Ms. Fluke believes that it is a good thing to use the full power of government, judicial and political, to force people to go against their moral principles. Like a Roman emperor of old, Ms. Fluke believes that if one will not burn incense before the idols of modern liberalism, that person should be crushed by the state.

Liberals lie in defense of their war on America. Succinct, to the point and right on.

They want us to stay out of their bedrooms.
I would like them to stay out of my back pocket.

The Constitution guarantees FREEDOM of RELIGION and the FREE EXERCISE thereof. I refuse to let the Dems take the focus off of that FACT.

It may come to that. I don’t want my tax dollars used for evil.
Our side, and our “leaders”, especially the actual conservatives,
need to stop accepting the premises of the left.
Those premises are simply lies and deceit in order to advance the underlying communist agenda.
We need to stop arguing about, for example, whether global warming is real and caused by human activity.
We need to go straight to the core, expose the left’s “solutions” (global taxes, global government, reduced lifestyle, etc), and declare them to be the goals and state that the “issue” of global warming is simply a means to that end.
Make them defend their goals, not the validity of the covering issue.
Isn’t the definition of a slut someone who has a lot sex with men none of which are her husband? Can we all agree if some woman gets in front of a congressional panel and states that she’s having so much sex, she can barely pay for all the birth control she needs, doesn’t she open herself up to the charge of at least being promiscuous? I mean, c’mon, she should have been laughed out of the room. Rush was pretty accurate in describing Flaky Fluke.
I think that is exactly right. If you try to fight against the false premise, global warming in this case, you are playing their game and letting them control the discussion; We are on the defensive. I know, because I have been there many times now on that specific issue.
The great point you make is that we have to control the discussion; THEY ARE COMMUNISTS. Their goals are socialism. THEY WANT TO FORCE THEIR BELIEFS ON US. And global warming, or ozone hole, or ice age or whatever else they come up with is just the vehicle to their goals..
Didn’t Ayn Rand, in some of her work claim in order to fight the left ‘...you have to attack their premise’?
Global warming is one of the easiest front issues to get around.
Simply ask what their proposed solutions are.
They always involve reduced lifestyle, increased government control, and reduced individual freedom.
And, as Inhoff cornered some gal with this question, “will these initiatives actually reduce global CO2?” - she answered “no”, because it wouldn’t affect foreign countries.
So, since these measures won’t have any effect on the stated goal, the measures themselves must be the goal, correct?
