NEW YORK (AP) -- A 12-year-old who sent a shopping cart hurtling onto a woman from a fourth-floor New York City mall walkway is being sent to a therapeutic foster home.
A Manhattan Family Court judge sentenced the boy Thursday to at least six and up to 16 months in the residential program.

I think the little T.C.B.E.M.J.S. thug should be strapped into the ‘chair, (glow in the dark $200 sneakers and all), and fried myself.
I think his parents should also be held accountable. If more parents were held accountable for the actions of their offspring they would be more diligent in raising them properly.
I think the parents of any child under 18 should also be held responsible for their criminal activity. It is their duty to raise their children to not only obey the laws but to be decent human beings. No decent human being would even think of doing what this 12-year-old did.
Parenting isn’t mind control. Kids can do some messed up stuff, regardless of how well they were raised. The variables are practically infinite.
It was a hate-crime. The victim was a white woman visiting a mall in a black/brown neighborhood. The kid should get at least ten years for the crime. Want to bet that once he’s out, he starts targetting other white people, and maybe kills someone?
