You got it backwards, Newt voters are the most anti-Romney, they would go to Santorum.
Santorum’s voters are more Romney friendly, and are less likely to go to the right.
Santorum himself has generally supported more liberal, even radical pro-abortion liberals for President, from supporting Specter’s Presidential race in 1996 to drive the pro-life movement from the GOP, and the party platform, to supporting Romney’s run in 2008.
