Survey shows health insurance cost climb in 2012 (but Obama said Obamacare would lower the cost)

The good news is that the cost of employer-sponsored health insurance is growing at a stable rate. The bad news is that the rate still exceeds inflation and worker wage increases, according to a survey from benefits consultant Towers Watson and the National Business Group on Health.

The annual cost of health coverage will rise nearly 6 percent to an average of $11,664 per employee in 2012,

Employers will just drop all coverage and pay $2,000 instead of offering insurance.

Hard to believe that even Obama didn’t mean that Obamacare would be cheaper than some strawman alternative that nobody had any good reason to believe would ever exist anyhow.

The interesting part of this article is that the employees portion will increase 9%. That's over $250 a year additional unless they get dropped and have to buy it all themselves.

He also says he was born in the USA, but seems rather short on the usual evidence for such a claim.

Obama doesn’t care if the price of health insurance goes up. His goal is to destroy the insurance companies. The drop-dead date is 2014 when insurance companies are forced to take EVERYBODY. Naturally the companies won’t be able to afford it — even if mandates are declared unconstitutional.

There go the insurance companies. Here comes the federal government to pick up the pieces.

Mine went up 24% AGAIN in February and then another 2.47% scheduled for May.
