Three people connected to Jose Guerena, the man shot and killed during a SWAT raid in May 2011, were arrested on drug and money laundering charges Thursday morning.

Your name doesn’t fit you, shame that. It’s obvious that knowing someone who is in the illegal trade means you should die sans judge, jury, rule of law, etc. Right? I’m counting now... up to my toes now... on how many people I know whom I would suspect are involved at one level or another in the drug trade. I believe the dead perp that you are so eager to posthumously declare guilty was working the night shift in a mine, and was sound asleep when the notably amateurish Pima authorities decided that this was the perfect moment to save the Republic. Your blaze’ attitude is staggering. Defamation? A man is dead, and you’re worried about questions? It’s what goes on here, we examine everything, and a badge is not a shield from that process. Cops do bad things, sometimes out or fear, sometimes because the aren’t trained properly, and sometimes because they show indifference. I don’t hate cops, I hate bad cops who take the attitude that they are better than the people they have sworn to defend. The dead man who was killed was exactly that, A person they had sworn to defend and protect. Epic fail.
And, if the family was perfect? I suspect you would have found a different reason to cover for bad cops. Guess what WWW? The system is broken, and cops as well as the people are suffering. Failing to examine the situation guarantees more of this, which from the sound of things, is evidently OK with you. The good thing about your name WWW? It’s hard to forget?
I don’t recall anyone ever saying the dead husband/father/son/brother had innocent family members.

That story is disgusting. It made me think of an idea. Anytime a cop is shot, there should be a full investigation into why the cop was put in a situation where he could be shot and whether it was necessary to be in that situation. If it wasnt necessary, then everyone who signed off on the mission should be charged as accessories to murder in a criminal case.

It has been 10 months since the former Marine was shot 60+ times in front of his wife and son. They’re only now arresting folks connected to this case? Didn’t they have things in their possession on May 5, 2011 that warranted arrest? Or did I miss something?
Conceivably, having relatives involved in the drug trade would increase your need to protect your family with arms, since you could be attacked in revenge for their activities It does not, of course, mean that you were personally involved in breaking the law.

In the seconds you had to realize something was going on, would YOU know it was a SWAT team? Because in a situation like that, they would have broken down MY door and found a 53 year old retired USAF officer holding a 44 magnum (loaded with 44 specials).
My gun would not be cocked, and I almost never shoot at anything double action, but do you think the cops would wait to see if I lowered the gun?
I don’t. But then, I live in Pima County, and I have ZERO confidence in our senile sheriff...or the other democrats that run law enforcement in Pima County.
Do what you want, and then spend a hundred grand digging up "violations" of the innumerable laws after the fact, and then try your target in the press.

For those who haven’t read the short article: The dead man’s sister-in-law has been charged, along with her father and her sister, of “illegal control of enterprise, marijuana possession for sale, fraudulent schemes and artifice and five counts of money laundering.” So the dead man’s wife’s family MAY be crooked. I’d guess they are, actually.
And it only took an additional 10 months of investigation to do it...
I suspect the son of my brother-in-law’s brother may have done something illegal...so should I be a target of a home invasion by the Pima County SWAT Team? Would they give me time to get to the door and find out who they are before they broke the door down?
Yep. Any peasant in a similar situation would be INSTANTLY charged with "accessory to murder".

I did note on the video from KVOA TV that a Pima County Judge dismissed a motion by attorneys representing the Pima County Sheriff’s department to dismiss the lawsuit brought by the widow of the X-Marine.
