Request denied.
A Limbaugh spokesman said that California mattress company Sleep Train asked to restart a voiced endorsement from Limbaugh that it had publicly cut off last week. The company said at the time that it does not condone such negative comments toward any person.…
Sleep Train’s departure from the program had been billed by some observers as particularly significant because the mattress retailer had been with Limbaugh show for 25 years. Yet the tone of Sleep Train’s withdrawal statement last Friday hinted it might not be pulling out for the long run…
Limbaugh spokesman Brian Glicklich on Thursday forwarded a copy of an email that he said had been sent to Sleep Train Chief Executive Dale Carlsen. In it, Glicklich wrote that Limbaugh had personally received the company’s requests to resume advertising on his show.
Unfortunately,” Glicklich wrote, “your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaugh’s character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future.
Via the Daily Rushbo, he talked about this a bit on yesterday’s show, claiming that two sponsors had already asked to return and that “one of them is practically begging to come back.” I don’t know why Sleep Train would pull ads if the prospect of losing Rush forever made them nervous enough to cave this quickly. They’ve alienated the right by abandoning him and irritated the left by going squishy over it. Have we learned nothing from l’affaire Komen, my friends? Rule one of inserting yourself into a hot-button public debate: Once you pick a side, stick to it. Sheesh.

I’d like to know the REAL number of advertisers that bailed on Rush, and are actually staying away.
The lying Left has it at north of 50.

ABC News, who understands how this works and are purposely misrepresenting it, is out there ballyhooing that we have lost 28 sponsors. Twenty-eight sponsors out of 18,000! That's like losing a couple of french fries in the container when it's delivered to you at the drive-thru. You don't even notice it.I like Rush's analogy!

I LOVE IT!!!!
I hope each of these whining libtard companies go bankrupt for injecting their personal politics into their business. I especially hope that Carbonite goes belly-up, because they basically owe their existence to Rush. No one had ever heard of them until Rush began advertising them.
El Rushbo wins another one.

True, he won’t notice the ship jumping rats but it is the fact that they jumped that makes the difference. Cowards cowering to the almighty dollar squeeze by the loony left! Well, we know how to play that game too.

I dunno... I'd say Rule#1 is DON'T go after Rush. For God's sakes... it backfires every dang time. Have they not learned this yet?
It doesn't seem to matter how many times he baits them up, they keep coming back for more, right on Q

Rush explained that the number of local ads sold by his 600+ affiliate stations is north of 18,000. So,’north of 50’ bailing-out is no great shakes. Those weasels will be quickly replaced and the Rush caravan moves on.

I am in the market for beds.
I don't think I'm hard on a bed, but never mind how much I've spent to buy the best, or their guarantee, in 3 years, the matress is shot.
I WAS considering a Sleep Number bed, but forget that now.
Anybody have any recommendations?

“Sleep Number Competitors” is a frequent search string on Bing! :-) I found
http://www.dreamnumberbeds.com/ that way. We have had select comfort beds for almost ten years now. Now that their patent has run out, we would look to other manufacturers.

Carbonite will be the poster child for failure to understand the purchasing power of Rush’s audience. After all, they are the people with jobs and money to buy things...or not.

Unfortunately, Glicklich wrote, your public comments were not well received by our audience, and did not accurately portray either Rush Limbaughs character or the intent of his remarks. Thus, we regret to inform you that Rush will be unable to endorse Sleep Train in the future. The CEO, Mr. Carlsen, back in 2006, went on record and said that it was his company's 20 year relationship with Rush, that built his business and a few years later he pisses on Rush's back and tells him it's raining.
Sorry Charlie, "You are stuck on stupid".

I like what somebody said, on another website, Rush should accept Sleep Trains competitors ASAP. He's not going to do that. Dale Carlsen was one of Rush's original sponsors in Sacramento in the late 80s and then continued as a sponsor locally when Rush went national (also Tom Sullivan). Carlsen and Sleep Train stood by Rush back when he COULD have been forced off the air for smaller controversies. It's why my jaw hit the floor when I heard he dumped Rush last week. It's not like this is the first time they've been faced with this kind of uproar. Of course Rush is hurt and angered however I don't think he's going to proactively go after them. Their business is going to suffer just by their absence on his show. I suspect that Rush who is a better man, may take him back somewhere down the road.

Thanks! I'll look into it.
I'm for supporting whoever the other company is. I will never spend my money with the companies that caved to the Alinski tactics of the left and that innocent little “student”. /s
It's too bad Rush is supposedly allowing Carbonite back starting next week, especially given what the CEO said. But, as someone pointed out on another thread yesterday, it's genius: Rush still gets their advertising money, and no one who listens to Rush's show will knowingly buy their product.

My question, too. Rush has been endorsing some kind of bed ever since I started listening. I remember buying Snapple tea when he promoted it (I love buying Rush-endorsed products because I know it infuriates some liberal, somewhere), and stopped when he stopped.
I bought one of those tankless water heaters. LOVE IT. But I won't say the name because I don't hear Rush advertising it, anymore. Big ticket item.
Lessee, what else did I buy?

Tell them to hire Fluke to pitch their products. I'm sure Fluke has many lucrative offers from condum manufacturers to pump their products.
She could become an iconic spokesperson for condums, like the "Where's The Beef" gal was for Wendy's burgers.

On his show this morning Jim Quinn was claiming that Rush felt personally betrayed by the CEO of Sleep Train as they had been friends for 25 yrs.
On the other hand, Carbonite appears to be purely business.
