Yes, but the key there is you have to keep taking the medications. Most people probably do, but there are plenty of people with mood disorders that go “off their meds” from time to time.
The government shouldn’t be forcing us to take such risks by employing these folks in high-risk or critical jobs. The government loves trying to take away these folks’ 2nd Amendment rights, but they insist that we must tolerate them as police, prison guards, flight attendants, and who knows what other positions where they can put other people in unnecessary jeopardy.
Maybe she heard it’s Panic Day on FR’s OFST.
Those doors can’t be opened in flight and only some pilots have guns...but they all have a hatchet in the cockpit... just saying the flight attendants can do little damage relatively speaking. This one had a break down of some kind and will likely be medically “retired”...
Yeah, the passengers showed great restraint. Probably because she was on the flight crew, and who knows what kind of trouble you would get in for laying a hand on them these days, even if they are flipping out.

It’s away over MY head, but I’ve seen news reports of these people “going off” unexpectedly, and engaging on wild behavior ranging from screaming fits to murder.

If they knew — there might not even BE a medical exam involved, or it only involves such things as visual acuity and physical strength. They’d never know about her mind if she didn’t tell them.
