Mississippi Primary: ROMNEY 35%, Santorum 27%, Gingrich 27%, Paul 6% (ROMNEY UP BY 8?! WTH???)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | Friday, March 9, 2012 | Rasmussen

Rasmussen Reports’ first Republican primary survey in Mississippi shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney leading his closest competitors by eight points.

A new statewide telephone survey of Likely GOP Primary Voters in the Magnolia State shows Romney with 35% of the vote, while former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich each draw support from 27%. Texas Congressman Ron Paul runs last with six percent (6%). One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

However, when the race is narrowed down to just the top two national front-runners, it’s Romney 46%, Santorum 44%.

Mississippi, along with Alabama, will hold its primary this coming Tuesday. Sixty percent (60%) of the state’s primary voters are certain of their vote, while 36% say they could still change their minds.

Regardless of preference, 72% of Mississippi primary voters expect Romney to be the eventual nominee. Only 14% feel Santorum will win the nomination, while six percent (6%) say the same of Gingrich.

Beck has brought much TRUTH to the light of day

I agree with the truth part, but I don't agree he is fearless, and I really don't hate him. I discovered him when he was doing all those unbelievable exposes of all the connections between Soros and Jones and WH, I loved those. I supported him for his first big DC rally.

But he has somehow gone from that to putting himself forth as the one who should lead people in reshaping their characters, and his emphasis on we all need to be good, good, good. And like Santorum, he is the arbiter of who and what is good.

I am also very concerned about the undercurrent of Mormonism in his teaching and leading, while he pretends to be a Christian. On my radio station, they had one of those 30-sec excerpts from his show that are used as a commercial, and he said be good be fearless yada yada, and then said read Ghandi read Jesus read Martin Luther King. He considers Christ, I believe, as a good and ancient prophet, the same way a lot of quasireligious persons do.

He just didn't know when to stop and dig in, and get better and better at what he was doing. Instead, he kept branching out until he is now in over his head, and a lot of times doesn't even know what he is saying. I would love if he found his way back to what his strengths are. What is it with men? It's always gotta be more more more and what's next? I feel bad for him more than anything else.

Don’t forget how far off the polls were in TN. I don’t think they know how to extrapolate Southerners.

I think that people just want this thing over so the GOP can concentrate on defeating Obama.

If it ends by nominating Romney, the GOP will not defeat 0bama. The GOP-E doesn't even care -- all they want is to stay in their own version of "power."

I will never, never, NEVER vote for Romney

He is no different than the zero.

NO ROBAMNEY

I imagine the Romney support is from die-hard Haley Barbour backers.

If you think Rassmussen is anything but a push poll PsyOp you're crazy.

I've never seen such a blatent push by the media, both left and right to push a candidate the way they are for Mittens.

Rongey is mentioned more than any other candidate, and almost always favorably or uncritically. Newt and Rick are just sliced to ribbons with hit pieces if they are mentioned at all.

Folks, if you step back and look at the mosaic it looks a lot like a bloodless coup on the part of the folks to whom Goldman Sachs reports (IMF?).

Yes, I'm wearing tinfoil. Don't care.

Thank you so much for the link! Andrew was right. Beck is an opportunist who has thrown many of my favorite people under the bus.

I don’t think it was hard for Murdoch nor Ailes to cut him loose.

BTW, did you know that Ailes is responsible for taking Rush national? Brilliant man!
