So why don’t they just get rid of elections altogether? Doesn’t seem to matter what the voting public wants anyway.
Which would be more fair?
Is a light-skinned Latino NOT a Latino? If you come from Spanish ancestry (lighter than German or Norwegian) but named "Gonzales" are you able to claim special treatment under the Voting Rights Act (much less EEO hands on the scale)?
Are "Latinos" or "Hispanics" based on skin color? National origin? My wife is from Mexico and I assure you is Mestizo. But she has light skin and her father has not only light skin but grey/blue eyes. So being from Mexico makes her Latina? Not according to the race-baiters.
Bottom line: There is no definition of "Latino/a" or "Hispanic" or "Mestizo/a" -- it is a construct of those who would use their last name (real or assigned as in "Villaregosa") to further their political agenda.
My fellow FReepers, I urge you to challenge each and every person who uses the term "Latino/a" or "Hispanic" to define it!
They already did that in Kalifornia long ago. Remember the overwhelmingly-passed Prop 187 and Prop 8? The votes didn't go the way the scumbag liberals wanted, so they just... threw them out. If you are in California, get out now. Run, don't walk. You don't want to be the Last White Farmer in Zimbabwe.
