ALPINE, Calif. -- An intoxicated U.S. Marshal was escorted from his Alpine apartment complex after neighbors complained he was banging on doors while carrying his service weapon, authorities said Tuesday.

The disturbance in the 1500 block of Tavern Road was reported around 5:10 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego County sheriff's Lt. J.T. Faulkner.

Drunk and armed with his service firearm, all this marshal needed was a cigar then he could have put in his transfer to Alcohol Tobacco & Firearms!

Investigators determined no crime had been committed, therefore, he was not booked or arrested, said Aquino.

There you go.

An intoxicated U.S. Marshal ...Deputies called the U.S. Marshals Service, which in turn escorted the drunken federal law enforcement official away, .....Investigators determined no crime had been committed, therefore, he was not booked or arrested, said Aquino......If he was drunk in his own premises, no crime. If he was drunk outside the door of his own premises, then a crime, Public Drunkeness or disorderly conduct was committed. I smell Professional Courtesy.

Hey, is this... for real?

If so, it could drive a US Marshal... to drink, ya know--

I could not... agree more, Raylan!
